David...can we go to double playoff points next year to keep this more interesting at the end of the year???
What, watching me slowly lose my lead isn't interesting enough to you?
Bass is looking to see if there was a way to get out of 4th place being 450 points behind. Even at double points, the huge majority of teams would be out of the hunt at the start of the playoffs.
Actually I was looking to see if there was a way to make these leagues interesting after the regular season. Pretty much 2 years in a row and everything was decided at the close of the season. Really no point in even having the playoff games count.

Maybe in our league . . . but League 2 has the top 7 teams about 100 points apart.

Update: ConstruxBoy's lead over There It Is drops to 34 points, but it looks like that will be enough to hold on unless something strange happens; There It Is lost three of his five remaining players this week, and everyone else is at least 50 points back. I think There It Is, radballs, and DonnyT33 are the only ones with a plausible chance at this point; if Indy beats New England, radballs and DonnyT33 come into play. Construxboy has more points from both New England and Chicago than There It Is does, so TII needs those teams to win, and strange things to happen during the games.

Chumpson bumped nittanylion out of sixth place.

Rather than double points for all playoffs, I think we should do progressive multipliers. Weeks 1 and 2 of the playoffs are normal points, championship games are double points, and the Super Bowl is quadruple points.

Time for a bit of shameless self-promotion here. Not only did my squad dominate League 1 (where, IMO, the competition was tougher than the rest) but I ended the year as the top-scorer in all 4 Anarchy Leagues!

Better luck next year for those I left in my wake and here's hoping I can retain a little of that mojo to defend my crown in 2008!

Thanks David for running this thing and to everyone who participated.

Thanks David for running this league and allowing me to participate. Shaun Alexander and the Madden Jinx was too much for me to get in the running.

Congrats to Construx and the other winners. :gang1:

Love the fact that we're standing there watching the Super Bowl and I'm trying to remember who DonnyT has and I say " I just need Moose to do something" and then he catches that TD pass 2 seconds later. That was great.

I think we need to rename League 2 next year to League 1, and demote League 1 due to robot drafting.

League 2 had seven players within 95 points of the lead, and the entire league spread was only 650 points. None of the other leagues had even two players within 95 points of the lead, and all the other league spreads were over 1000 points.

No patsies in league 2. Congrats to ConstruxBoy; I would have had you if Horn hadn't gone down, but then, that's the game, isn't it.

I don't really get the whole comparing points between different leagues thing, but whatever.

I suffered from a little burnout this year, probly too many leagues. What I especially like about this one, however, is that you don't have to keep investing all this time each week, for months. And the playoff continuation thing is a nice twist.

Thanks again, Anarchy, enjoyed it.

Aaron Rudnicki 2713.48 129.2

Familiar theme this year.

Thanks. Yeah, I got pretty lucky to hang on at the end. But then again, I was 1st or 2nd almost the whole season last year only to fade to 5th on some bad luck. So I was due. Decent little year for me. Won this league. Won SSL IDP and was 2nd high scorer. Won SSL4 and led all 4 SSLs in scoring. Won the Auction Staff v Message Board league. I should retire.... :goodposting:

Not sure I understand this post. Is it a boasting post? I am not being a wise-guy, I honestly can't tell. Cause if it is, none of these teams won. In fact, they finished 3rd, 6th, 7th, and 8th, respectively this year. Nothing too special. Or perhaps you just mean that they finished so close to each other?

I competed against these guys in another league and outcome was about the same except that I had HoushmaChampionship on my roster in that league.
