When almost the entire body of evidence comes from one game, and in that one game the team passed for 500 yards; you can't make any real conclusions on what will happen in a "regular game"

Not sure why, but i am seeing Wilson having a better day than Brown. With a few days to get a game plan, and not be in pass mode, Wilson could be a sneaky play.
It would be very sneaky because he's done nothing.I couldn't start him until I see something positive during the regular season. If this were Washington, maybe I'd say Wilson was in for a decent game but Brown looks to be the guy between the two Imo.

Brown is a better pass blocker than Wilson, that's why he was in last week Giants' 500+ passing yard game.
That may be part of it, but the bigger issue appears to be , as mentioned, that Coughlin doesn't trust the rookie yet in a significant ball carrier role. And with a short week, I don't think they will have the time to prepare him for that role. Maybe next week after a long layoff if Wilson does well, Brown flops and Bradshaw is still out.
I don't see a long term future for Brown, Plug n Play for week 3 if you need a RB badly. You can always gain trust but you can't gain Talent. There is a reason why Brown was cut by 5 teams in 4 seasons, we are going to see why in week 3... some would even call this a prophecy.
IIRC the Giants were always high in Brown. It was his Achilles injury that had him bouncing around the league. Teams prob went with the healthier guy when making roster cuts. He obviously looked health this year enough to cut DJ Ware, who they liked also.
Word from beat writers when he was first waived by the Giants was they were going to practice squad him but the Broncos took him off waivers. You're right. They wouldn't have picked him back up if they didn't like him. Like how they didn't offer Boss or Steve Smith a chance to come back when they were FA this year.

Exactly my point as per previous post. That's why I'm interested in tomorrow's game

I think Brown is going to have a nice game tomorrow, and I want to get him into my lineup, but I dont think I can pull the trigger on him over Harvin vs SF....Hell, I think Id rather start Lafell tomorrow than Brown.

:lmao: at people thinking of starting Wilson

I am not a football expert or fantasy expert but here are my thoughts as a Giants fan who has watched every game for the past few seasons.

Bradshaw is hit or miss. He makes bad decisions most of the time and tries to run into a hole that is not big enough to get thru. They were dead last in rushing last year because Jacobs did the exact same thing (actually, he would just run into the back of his o line)

When Brown got into the game last week, all of the sudden they were picking up yards on the ground. Yards that Bradshaw could not pick up when he was in the game. I dont know why he was waived by different teams and I dont know anything about the way TB was playing defense. What I do know is that Brown looked like a very good RB last week. I picked him up for 20% of my blind bid money and will be starting him this week over Gore (with Mcfadden and Martin)

I actually expect Bradshaw to be out 2-3 weeks and Brown might be a nice play. What I have seen from Wilson is shaky and would not want to start him for fantasy purposes this week

My :2cents: FWIW

I refuse to give up on Wilson and and keeping him on my roster rather than grabbing Brown. Could be a mistake, but... 1) Bradshaw will eventually get hurt again even if he plays this week, 2) Brown is not that good, 3) Wilson has more talent than any of the Giant RBs, he just needs to get Coughlin out of his jock so he can breakout. Problem is, he is doing everything to keep Coughlin on him like white on rice and as long as Bradshaw is healtyh he will take 85% of snaps at RB.

The Giants haven't had a good RB since Tiki, that's why Brown looks good. Bradshaw has flashes of big play ability, but you're right, he makes bad decisions. I don't think Brown is overly talented but he made good decisions and I do think he's worth starting this week. Wilson has the ability to be the guy the Giants haven't had since Tiki. I think the kid just has butterflys in his stomach and he knows he's on a short leash. I think after he breaks off a solid run for 20-30 yards, those butterflys will go away and he will show his true potential. He may have a problem hanging onto the ball this year, but in the offseason they will fix that just as they did with Tiki.

Bradshaw has already been ruled out for tonight.

Before tonight, I wasnt even considering dropping Wilson. After tonight, Im not even worried Im making a mistake by dropping him next week. Even if Brown didnt look quite good, its obvious Coughlin wont give Wilson the touches to even prove himself. Scott getting all the garbage time touches was icing on the cake.

Now I just wish I had the balls to bench Harvin vs SF for Brown :hophead:
