Andre Brown vs Javaris James (1 Viewer)

CBSsportsline says Andre Brown will be the primary backup to D Brown with Addai and Hart out this week. I have seen a few guys here say James is the guy to have. Anyone with some real insight into who this will be?

Brown will NOT get 90% of the carries. The Colts aren't that type of team. They will give 10 carries to the primary backup this week, and that guy will have a decent shot at scoring.

James won't get 10 carries . . .

Back to the question at hand. Where is Andre Browns value. Lammey, I think liked him in Denver during the preseason. He could be a deep sleeper. I am in a tough spot with injuries and bye week. If Wells is a no go I may pick up and A Brown with D Brown

come on, you know Brown will get 90% of the snaps - James looked lost last week . . .
And how did Brown look last week?
I don't think this matters much for this team. As previous posts have mentioned, James was completely lost out there and the last thing Peyton needs when he's making 34 different pre-snap calls is to have to tell the RB where to lineup on a given play. Not to mention the protection issues that could ensue.Brown will get 80% of the snaps IMO as long as he holds up.

I think the question is more whether Addai or Hart could play in week 10 *if* Brown is ineffective or gets reinjured, making a new starting RB in even the most ridiculously deep league formats.

I love it we have a thread on 4th string RB's.

FF is insane sometimes LOL.

Brown will get most of the snaps ... the rest will go to Brown
I find this very hard to believe. James was with the team in preseason and although cut and re-signed, has a huge advantage in knowledge of the playbook over A. Brown. IMO - Hart and Addai are out this week. D. Brown, who was coming off injury and limited per the team, gets the start. James is his backup and A. Brown will be lucky to see the field. In the long run, I have really liked A. Brown's game, and think over time he could beat out both Brown and James. However, with a serious injury on the books and multiple teams on his short resume even the most ardent supporter would have to admit he is by definition - a long shot.

 Peyton Manning is calling plays at the line of scrimmage that are in playbook code. Many times they do not even huddle. There is no way you can put Brown in without knowing the playbook.I personally feel that Donald Brown looked bad last week on that hamstring. I think he was pulled in the fourth quarter because it was obvious to the coaches and they were forced to go with James after Hart hurt his ankle. I also (gut feeling) think that Donald Brown will get limited carries this weekend. This leaves Javarris James as the only healthy option that knows the playbook.Normally I would not care, but I am one league that starts 12 and has a roster of 19. Bye week issues when starting 12 players lead to a thread like this.
