Per KFFL:

Andre Johnson could miss a few weeks

Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson (hamstring) likely will not play in Week 5 and there is fear within the organization that he could miss at least a few weeks.

FANTASY TIP: This makes Jacoby Jones a must-add for at least Week 5, when the Texans play the Oakland Raiders, which is a good fantasy matchup for the Houston receiving corps. Kevin Walter is a worthy addition in PPR leagues, but he doesn't have the explosive big-play capability of Jones. Expect more involvement from tight end Owen Daniels and running back Arian Foster in the passing game. Houston is likely to utilize Foster more on the ground, too.

Talk about this story on KFFL now....

Glad we have a new thread...

Nick Scurfield reported that Gary Kubiak said of Andre Johnson at the presser:

"We’re still in an evaluation process. Obviously, we are dealing with a hamstring. We do know that. We will get a couple more different opinions on Johnson in the next few days as they continue to evaluate him. He’s going to miss some time. I don’t know if that’s 3 or 4 days, I don’t know if that’s a few weeks."

what is his value in no ppr redraft? what is the best wr you would offer to get him? what is the least wr you would take for him?

Umm this thread is brand new, never made fun of this one. Also, he stated Jones will start in AJs place, so that means Walter is the must add.

You just don't see what the rest of us do then obviously.

Comments listed above couldn't possibly be interperated as being snide could they.

Until later on in the week news won't be forthcoming about just what kind of timetable Andre is looking at. Until then-it's only speculation. Jacoby/Walter/Casey-ANY of these guys may step up, but I don't gamble a starting lineup slot on any of them unless your options are possibly worse.

LOLFirst: How is saying "Glad there is a new thread" attacking this thread? wow

Second: I never care what anyone thinks anyways.

Third: If you noticed, the other Andre thread was cluttered with comments like yours.

Maybe you should know all the facts before you comment. Now, I'm sure your angry I schooled you, so I will wait for some attempt to try to fish for attacks.

Did Walter play vs PIT?It's funny, AJ didn't play last year vs OAK and Walter had an abysmal game.
OAK had Nnmadi last year though.Jones put up nice numbers in the final 2 games of the season but Hou wasn't playing for anything at that point. Jacoby did have a nice 4th quarter deep ball target that was broken up by the DB getting a hand on the ball with good coverage. That was his only target though. There weren't many passes as the Hou Off either stalled or sat on the sidelines most of the 2nd half. After Andre went down the targets were like this:Foster - 4Daniels - 2Walter - 1Casey - 1Jones - 1

Somehow you are single-handedly and significantly reducing the value of the SP.Report me. Please.

i troll these boards on a daily basis during FF season, rarely making comments unless i need trade advice.

i hate to sound like a #####, but at least once every other day for the last couple months i will read a reply and think to myself, "what the hell is wrong with that guy"?

JustCuz, clearly you love this game, however it is also clear that you take yourself and your worth on these boards way too serious.

i will apologize for whomever picked on you or bullied you while you were growing up, i am truly sorry, but could you please stop taking it out on the fellas in the SP? your ego and hyper defensive nature have aged rather quickly.

thanks.

I expect the Texans to run the ball 50 times a game now and use what is probably the best OL in the NFL to shorten the games and keep stacking wins. That's all Kubiak cares about right now is making the playoffs. I would expect Foster and Tate to see plenty of touches and Foster to start getting a lot more screens and check downs.

Whos taking it way to serious? The fact people get angry about a guy making comment on a message forum is whats really sad.People get angry when the truth is spoke, hate me all you like.

That, or they pass it to Foster a ton as well. His points in PPR will be thru the roof.

Rotoworld:

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Monday Night Countdown that the Texans believe Andre Johnson's hamstring injury will not keep him out long term.

Schefter confirmed that Johnson probably won't play in Week 5 against the Raiders, but the team hasn't yet ruled him out, and the injury isn't season-threatening as may have been initially feared. In other words, it sounds like a "week-to-week" situation. Just keep in mind that the Texans are still awaiting a second opinion on the hamstring injury. Coach Gary Kubiak suggested Monday that the Texans will "lean on" Arian Foster until Johnson gets back.

For reals. JC is one of the few posters I have on ignore, but that's impossible to do when people quote him to call out his dooshines. The funny thing is, dude was actually being cool in this instance... but his long history of dooshiness and criticizing threads and their worthiness like he's the forum police lead to derailing yet another topic into irrelevancy. I enjoy the sleeper threads (great call on Celek) JC starts but the majority of the rest does what the bolded suggests.

:lmao: People are around here as such puscatores. The only people I have on ignore are those who offer NOTHING of substance ever (ie two dollars) or guys who just a waste of time an mental energy to deal with in the FFA ( i.e Jon_mx.) Nice that even after ignore you still have the option to unignore as I do this often with John_mx, but only in the SP/Michigan Football threads. How you could ignore Just Cuz, for being a bit of a dooshtard at times (ie Hipple, Long, Ware & peete, MOP etc). If you did that you'd miss out on a lot of Fantasy Football Info & breaking news/gold nuggets.
