Android Wear / Moto 360 thread (1 Viewer)

Don't think I'd ever read e-mail on my watch but it could be useful with notifications about incoming messages etc on the watch instead of the phone. Currently I would believe it is much more socially acceptable to check your watch than your phone while interacting with others or when doing something over a period of time. This might change with time, but I am probably too old to follow suit... ;)

A couple things:

1. I am not sold on the concept of "smart watches" - but that is clearly a personal thing, just not for me.

2. Google Now on a watch is, however, brilliant.

C. That particular watch is FOXY!

I had a Pebble for a couple months and found it too redundant. It was basically a tool that made my wrist vibrate as a sign to pull my phone out of my pocket. The biggest issue was that replying to texts and emails is not easily done on a Pebble. In fact, you can't do it at all. For me, that kind of notification stuff would be annoying. i might, however, find utility in being apprised of a gate change to my flight or traffic conditions up ahead.

I don't think the emails/texts are really the use of the wearables market.

I think the burgeoning health/activity tracker and certain augmented reality apps are going to be what drives them. Maybe I don't want to read an email on my watch. But I might like to see how many calories I've burned today or I might like to check average Yelp reviews of the restaurant I walk past. Or just be able to ask for walking directions somewhere.

I was planning on getting a Razer Nabu when it comes out in a few months. Might rethink and get the 360... looks sweet.

I'm jonesing for a 360.If only for the changable watch faces , the rest is gravy. I'm thinking of going from my 5s to the moto x so I can buy a 360
