Any news on Boldin this week?
Anquan Boldin-WR- Cardinals Dec. 13 - 5:23 am et Anquan Boldin was wearing a walking boot on Wednesday to "calm down" his foot after working out before Sunday's game.Last I heard, he was held out of practice again today. He keeps being quoted that he'll be ready to go though.
Boldin is one of the toughest players in the league. What he has actually is a mystery injury, and I highly doubt he plays this week.per sportsline last week:im seriously beginning to worry about the toughness of this guy. all i ever hear is his toughness, but the guy misses almost a month with a bruised hip and now a disclocated toe keeps him out. ive dislocated my toe and played basketball games on it. granted, i am no pro athlete, but a diclocation is a dislocation. no mystery injury. play through it for christ sakes. your team needs you.
cbs constantly reports incorrect information. boldin has a dislocated toe. people love to throw out the fact that he so tough because he plays the wideout position like a running back. just because he has a tough running style and doesn't avoid contact, it doesnt mean he is actually a tough guy. just sayin....Boldin is one of the toughest players in the league. "The Cardinals coaching staff has been worried about Boldin because they have never seen a toe injury like his. Boldin is trying to avoid surgery on the foot and hopes finiding the right orthotic will help him play Sunday."
true, but he dislocated it, not the same.football players with this issue have to very cautious, if it becomes a chronic 'turf toe' type injury his career won't last much longer. many players have had their careers curtailed from turf toe.
he only missed last week with the toe. it was the hip before that. and this is my point, he's just not as tough as people make him out to be. playing physically doesnt translate into being tough through injuries.ninerfanatic492000 said:your right its not the same, but this is how it can start. its obviously been more than a simple dislocation for anquan to miss several weeks now.
Lets hear it, whos playing him? If he practices today and doesnt have any set backs hes in the lineup.Anquan Boldin (toe) was limited in Cardinals practice Thursday. An upgrade. Boldin initially didn't show up for the portion of practice open to the Arizona media, but wound up running some routes. Q remains "iffy" for Sunday, but it appears he has a chance to be active against the Saints. In such a favorable matchup, he'd be hard to sit in fantasy leagues if he plays.azcardinals.com
As of now, I will play him. I am sitting by my computer around 12:00pm on Sunday just in case I need to make a last minute switch to Coles or Reggie Brown.Lets hear it, whos playing him? I wouldn't count on him playing.Luck for people that need him this week, it is an early game.
Excellent reasoning!!!I wouldn't count on him playing.Luck for people that need him this week, it is an early game.
he wouldnt play unless he was ready to go. he has said this time and time again.also, based on current numbers he would have had a season like this if he had been healthy:85/980/11not bad for a down year.just because he plays doesn't mean you can count on him to do anything. he really hasn't had a productive season.
Seems like he's been so/so...I might start him (if he says he's ready) over SSmith, Cotcheryweek 1: 4/22/1TD vSFweek 2: 4/83/0 vSEAweek 3: 14 catches and 2 TD vBALout week 4-6week 7: 8 catches and 2 TD vWASweek 8: byeweek 9-10: 3 catch games v TB and DETweek 11: 4/71/1 TD vCINweek 12: 6/76/0 vSFweek 13: 2/25/0 vCLEweek 14: outhe really hasn't had a productive season.
well, that's part of the point - he hasn't been healthy, therefore you can't count on him.he wouldnt play unless he was ready to go. he has said this time and time again.also, based on current numbers he would have had a season like this if he had been healthy:85/980/11not bad for a down year.just because he plays doesn't mean you can count on him to do anything. he really hasn't had a productive season.
