Any Hidden Gems at RB in PPR leagues this year. (1 Viewer)

Any non-Stud RB's standing out, that could be a sleeper in 1 point PPR leagues. Where he may be a run of the mill back in a non ppr scoring league. The guy that I can't get out of my head is Leon Washington. Any thoughts on him or other backs.

In all seriousness, Brian Leonard with STL.

Also, Marion Barber has pretty good PPR value on top of his TD's.

I see Leon as a poor man's MJD, and it makes it tough because he could explode in one game and do nothing for several in a row.

Personally I'm liking Ahman Green this year, should be in on 3rd downs and Shaub may look to dump off to him a lot.

Also Tatum/KJones, depending on which one plays will be huge, but both have injury history and may be tough to guess which one will be in there for the majority of the season.

this is a good thread.. these guys are extremely valuable in my league.. we start 3 RBs and are PPR so these guys are huge values.Pittman and KFaulk are the 2 that jump to mind and have filled this role for several years in a row now. Pittman is the guy this year because he will be in some at fullback as well as play some halfback on third downs. he also has sizable upside as a Caddy handcuff.

Aug. 22, 2007 - 12:40 p.m. ET Michael Pittman is not expected to see his role as the Bucs' primary receiving back diminish despite his move to fullback. The Bucs' offense requires its fullback to be a proficient receiver. Pittman should retain RB4-5 value in points-per-reception leagues despite the move. Source: sportingnews.com Aug. 13, 2007 - 12:52 p.m. ET Already the backup running back and possible third-down receiving back, Michael Pittman is going to play some fullback going forward. Playing fullback will help the veteran stay involved in the event that Cadillac Williams emerges as an every-down back. Jon Gruden plans on using the both Williams and Pittman on certain plays, with Pittman handling the lead-blocking role.

Pittman can catch 40-50 balls and may see the goal line touches with Alstott out.

Leon Washington's got great receiving skills and is terrific in open space.

Ronnie Brown had some big PPR games to start off the year, but along with the Dolphins he fizzled... Culpepper definatley utilized him more...

I think alot will overlook Lamont Jordon... His numbers should improve, and if Culpepper gets the rock, they may reach 70 receptions...

Kevin Jones was big last year in PPR, but with him possible out for a while, Bell could be a nice flyer, or Jones a nice pick up for later in the year...

Faulk has always been a good PPR back, with Dillon gone, and Maroney gimpy, I think we may see more of Faulk this year out of the backfield... but he's a hit and miss guy... I think thats ok for a 5th back... or spot starter 4th back...

Keep an eye for who starts in GB, as he will be a big PPR back like Green always has been... and Green should do well in Houston as Shaub will be going to his outlet alot to keep from getting killed.

Good question... as more leagues are going PPR for the first time...

Everyone knows that Westbrook and Bush are big targets...

Oh, keep an eye on Betts too... he is a great pass catcher, and with Portis being gimpy, Betts could be MONEY!!!

Lamont Jordan. They're throwing to the RBs again in Oakland now that Shell and Mr. Bed and Breakfast are gone.

Leon Washington. He's not a poor man's MJD. No such thing right now. But a poor man's Westbrook or Tiki is more accurate. Major problem is Thomas Jones. Jerome Harrison is very similar.
