It amazes me when looking at these drafts that Carter goes so high all the time.
This last 6 rounder. Only 2 DE in top 44 scorers. Start 1-2-3-2-2 with 1 flex which better be LB which has 25 guys or S which has 16 guys in top 44. Thus 24 DL needed to start. Great young rookies like Green, Scourton, Oladejo, Ezeiruaku are not even drafted.
Top LB comes in at 31 overall. Next 37, 50, 51, 53, 63
Top S comes in at 36 overall. Next 47, 68
RB had 18 in top 70 scorers.
WR had 18 also and TE had 5
QB huge scorers but only start 1.
Certainly RB heavy league.
You need to do this type of breakdown for every draft. In my TEP league, I love Taylor but he should probably not go ahead of Schwesinger here. You probably start 12 TEs per week going 1-2-3-1 as best lineup for O. Start 48 LBs out of 64 starters. I know TE is 32 but not all 64 LBs are equal as are not all 32 TEs. Not many teams give 2 LBs 90% of snaps each week. Why I love that Emmanwori was fairly early pick. Think in this league format he is also greater value than Abdul Carter.
Carter went 26th overall in my home league draft. Schwesinger and Campbell went 17th and 19th overall. I gave the owner taking Carter a D for the same reasons. 1 because it is SF and TEP, so much more O oriented. The LBs got B+ grades. Should not go ahead of guys like Burden, Arroyo, Milroe etc.
Know your league inside out. Maybe DE rule top performers and thus Carter would be early pick. In this latest 6 rounder, he is another failure pick
Right now I rank the D as Schwesinger, Knight, Campbell, Emmanwori, Starks, Martin, Carter, Barron, Paul and than a few DL like Walker but back to Stutsman, Simon, Mukuba again quickly.
Really look at league setting hard
