Any Steven Jackson Injury News? (1 Viewer)

40% tear in Groin -- Dude is DONE - If STL looked like they had a shot to do something maybe but with STL looking like the leagues worst team I doubt he comes back. -- But IF he does - I wouldn't expect to see him untill after his bye

Just my opinion - Moz is right. Jackson was deemed OUT early in both of the last two weeks. There are no indications whatsoever that he will be coming back this week, or soon for that matter. That is a very tough injury.

Personally with the mess they have in St. Louis I don't want SJAX coming back this week vs Baltimore.

It's not like it matters anyway because when St. Louis is having success running the ball they ditch the running game and let their QB lose the game for them.

FYI Linehan- When you are having success running the ball and you have a 3 point lead in the 3rd quarter you should try running more.

With 11 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and a 3 point lead you only gave your leading rusher 9 attempts|!!|!|! Thats right 9 attempts in 26 minutes.

You thought it was a better game plan to let Frerotte throw 26 times. In those 26 attempts he threw 3 ints (1 returned for a TD).

The only memorable thing Frerotte has ever done in the NFL is knock himself out of a game with his TD celebration. If you are going to rely on him to win you games you WILL lose!

IMO this lose goes solely on Linehan for his pathetic play calling! You should be fired today!

rotoworld says jax out week 6 already. per rotoworld

This will be his third consecutive missed game; the initial timetable for Jackson was at least two-to-three weeks. That he's been ruled out so quickly for Week 6 doesn't bode well for Jackson's chances to play in Week 7. Rookie Brian Leonard will get another start, this week against Baltimore.

I'm getting trade offers galore for SJax. I don't know if I should trade him away for anything I can get or hold onto him and hope he can be available for a playoff run.

I'm not liking how he's ruled out by Tues or each week...I think he's out a LONG time...if not the season. I need the roster spot, but don't want to dump him and get burned at the end of the season if he comes back for a FF playoff run...

Linehan was on Steve Czaban's show this morning and said Jackson will not be ready to play this week.

So with SJax out, does that make Leonard a good option for this week. Baltimore is solid against the run, but can be beaten by the pass. If StL can get the passing game going, perhaps Leonard will get a chance for some solid numbers.

I haven't seen StL play yet this season. Is Leonard a good receiving back?

He is a VERY GOOD receiving back.... Not as good as SJ, LJ, or Bush... But very good indeed...

He's a good receiving back. Last week he did well in the 1st quarter and then they went away from throwing him the ball. Linehan thought it would be better for Frerotte to throw ints downfield.

Good to hear. It makes me a little more comfortable in starting Leonard this week, with KJ and Gore on bye.

That's exactly the same sort of crap that cost SD the game two weeks ago. I have Leonard so I felt the pain from the fantasy end rather than being a Rams fan. Also, he had several catches early on. After that, they kept trying to throw the ball downfield. They forgot he was an option until the fourth quarter.I'm trying to decide on moving him. On one hand, I can use him until his usefulness runs out (when Jackson comes back). Or, I could trade him. The only problem is that no one wants to trade for a back that is just a fill-in. The Jackson owner will only offer me an 8th round pick or Stallworth. I'm tempted to get Stallworth since I need WR help. Considering that Jackson is going to be THE guy in StL when he comes back, I guess it only makes sense to move him for someone who I am sure can help me the entire year.

Anyone else in the same boat with Leonard? I think he'll have an okay game against the Ravens. They aren't the great defense they once were. The Ravens have given up between 60-80 total yards to every main RB they've faced this year (Lewis, TJones, Gore, James, Rudi Johnson). Leonard will probably put up around 70 total yards and 0.5 TDs.

It's really hard to place his value. In a redraft I made two offers to the same owner... AGreen & D.Owens for SJax. AGreen & EGraham for SJax.They guy is has nothing at TE and almost nothing at RB. I own Leonard. Not even sure if I should have - as Im fine at RB anyhow.

I just traded him for Portis and Sammy Morris..I took it because I don't want to play the waiting game all season with SJAX...Rather have something more sure
