i'm excited about him as my 6th starter for the year and i was planning on starting him against the D (with my eyes closed), but on the heels of bannister shutting them out, i don't think i have the stones to do it.
starting greinke today would be tantamount to betting on:
1. the royals sweeping the tigers on the road
2. the tigers offense stinking for 2 straight days
3. the tigers offense going 3 straight games without a real offensive explosion
i'm having a hard time envisioning anything but greinke getting shelled today.
it feels set up too perfectly. greinke's got all the hype coming in. meche weaves through trouble all day. somehow bannister shuts them out. now greinke gets to come in let the law of averages take effect.
anybody else on the "no balls train" with me?
