In a points league, in 1st place by 28 points but the problem is this. Charles looks like he is sitting and Megatron will more than likely as well. I do have Stacey and Gio but I may have to get creative and snag Edwin Baker and Jerrel Jerrigan. Big money league, $1300 for 1st place!!!! Anybody else have similar issues???

Good news - I'm playing for my league title.
Bad news - Gotta do it without Charles
I've been pushing to get Week 17 removed from our league (this league has been in existence for a long time now) but my co-commissioner refuses to agree to it. More owners are starting to side with me so it's my hope that after this season we can remove it. Absolutely sucks to have so much on the line and be forced to try and win without the best RB in fantasy.

I haven't looked too closely yet but other than the Chiefs I think every playoff team has something to play for this week or am I wrong?
There are injury issues to deal with but in terms of resting players I think KC may be the only one clearly in position to do that. Again, if I'm wrong and missing a team let me know.

I'd include the Steelers too. Defensive TDs in last 2 games and Jason Campbell has been absolutely putrid the last two games.

Our league allows every team to activate their entire bench and whichever roster scores the most wins a healthy bit of $. We carry 21-man rosters (12 team league) so this week we have to dig deep!

Have Stacey, Jennings, Keenan Allen, D. Thomas, and Brandon Marshall ( and Peterson) and have to start 4 of them.
Most likely going with 3 wrs and RB. Hate the Seattle matchup for Stacey, may just go Jennings with the 3 wrs, Foles as the Qb and either Pitta or Zertz sp? at. TE and Philly or San Diego D.

Yep. I'm most likely without Megatron and opponent is without Charles. I guess it balances out. Winning in week 17 is all luck.

I like Grimes this week. Should get a lot of totes. Whether he is actually good or not, I'm not sure.
Jernigan might be worth a play at WR in place of Megatron. He outscored him last week.

In my main redraft league (15 yrs & running; started when 6 of us current owners were in high school), we still play championship week 17. It's a 12 team, three 4 team divisions. The Commish wan sot ensure that we play each divisional opponent twice, and ther meaning owners once in the regular season. We can't agree on an equitable way to handle regular season, so week 17 will be our championship unless/until the season is extended
Playing for championship and struggling to replace Jamaal and pick a flex. (Easier to do the latter when Jamaal is playing as he tends to assuage flex mistakes) Spiller, ABrown, KDavis or one of many WRs (JJones, KWright)?
Just don't know how much faith I have in KDavis if KC is playing all of their backups vs a determined SD.

i originally picked up the Giants, but FBG has The Colts ranked #2 this week so i swapped them out. Colts have put up good numbers last two weeks in my league.

I would go with the Chargers. They are playing for something and kC is not. Flacco sounds like he's a little more healthy this week to play the NE defense.

Very similar. Up 26 & will lose Charles & have Dez catching from Orton. 2nd place has Peyton & Matthews vs KC backups. We end our playoffs wk 16 but pts go to 17. Been fighting against it but no luck.

I am pretty much in championship. I'm technically in 1st with 11 wins & another team with 11 but I have him points.
Problem is, I'm facing off with the 3rd place team with 10 wins and crushing me in points.
I either win tomorrow and more then likely take 1st or I'm stuck in 3rd with a loss (still pays at least)
Only problem is he has Peyton Manning AND both Bears WR. All 3 are in huge games against very weak opponents.
Meanwhile, Ive got Megatron on the bench WR1 (Ugghh). I'd rather role the dice on Keenan Allen at this point then guess what Lions will do with Mega.
So I need Gordon, Dez, and Allen to carry me. My RBs are losers but I'm hoping Spiller can eat up a very bad NE interior.
Used my last add on MIA defense as well. Beats Bills or Ravens.
Also praying DEN gets up huge early with a special teams TD, DEF TD, and rushing TD and then decide to bench Manning for 2nd half. Ive got Cam Newton but he hasnt exactly been a showstopper lately. Big game for CAR and I guess he's do for one against a very bad ATL team..
ESPN has me as an 18 pt dog and I think thats actually pretty accurate. Usually disregard their point projections but I'm def the dog without a full go Megatron.. Him and Gordon have carried from 5-5 to 11-5

People with Charles should stop crying about anything, they had one of the luckiest weeks ever in the most important time of year.

My league Championship was week 16 but we play a Pro Bowl in Week 17. We have a 10 man league with two divisions and the last place team in each division gets to be the Pro Bowl Managers (since they didn't get to do anything in the playoffs). They are allowed to pick up any player from any team on an active roster in their divison and play them in week 17 on their team which is basically the Pro Bowl team. The only rule is, they can only play someone who ended the season on someones roster inside their division, and they have have to play at least one player from each team.
The members of the losing division have to pay for the food and beverages at our leagues summer meeting where where we talk about the upcoming season and vote on any changes.
