I was considering withdrawing my name but didn't as I didn't know if I'd fly down there and try to get a hotel room for only one practice day or tourney day. I was hoping maybe a few guys would win four tickets (or two) for different days then split them up so we could all go multiple days.
That would be fun to meet up with some FBG's that way.

I was trying to do the math on this. Saw somewhere online that daily attendance is ~35K. If that's the case, at most 5K tickets are being released to the public (probably fewer, right?). That's 2500 pairs of tickets. If 2.5 million people apply, it's a 1 in 1000 shot. But I suspect fewer tickets are released and they may get more than 2.5 million applications, so that's probably a pretty conservative estimate.

Same here. I've got my fingers crossed for the practice rounds. If that doesn't pan out I will probably just drive down on Monday or Tuesday. That's what we usually do anyway. Some people leave around lunchtime and will sell you their pass for $50 or $60 . That's still 5-6 hours on the grounds. Not bad. I only live 60 miles away so it's very doable. If we don't get in then we can still walk up and down Washington road. Met John Daly there one year. He had his RV set up and was selling his merchandise. Last year stopped my streak of 4 straight years of attending a practice round and none of the four trips was a result of hitting the lottery. This is a very doable option, especially if you live close enough.
