Anyone know where to find skill ratings for defensive players? (1 Viewer)

Hello! I've been looking around, without success, for a list that ranks defensive players by real football skill, not by fantasy value. I can't find any grading system that rates or tiers players at a given position based on this criteria. I'm curious about this because I'd like to further my education of defensive players en route to becoming a better fan of the real NFL (I already love the fantasy aspect!) Asomugha, for example, is a consensus top 3 CB in the NFL, but his fantasy stats are comparatively paltry because opposing offenses prefer to pick on glaring weaknesses in the Oakland Defense. I have an encyclopedic knowledge of offensive players, but I have no concept of the "goodness" of many DTs, for example - they're just names to me. The best I've come across, unfortunately, are ratings assigned by EA sports in their Madden video game (and ratings that give consideration to the most recent season won't be out until the new game premiers in August 2010.) If anyone knows of such ratings, I'd be very appreciative if you'd share them with me. Thanks in advance! Cheers.

Try profootballfocus.com I think it will have what you are looking for. Also, I know the Sporting News releases a player ratings magazine before every season that rates every player a 5.0 scale based on scouts. Hope this helps.
