Anyone lose hair on their legs? (1 Viewer)

Not sure what the hell is going on.  The pattern is the same on both legs.  I’ve always been pretty hairy.  But now about 60% of each lower leg is bare on the back of the calf running up to my knee, about half of the outside, and a small portion of my shin.

My wife theorizes that I am moving my legs in my sleep and rubbing the hair off but she’s never seen me do it.

Wtf?
I’ve had this for years. Pretty sure it’s rubbings my legs together while I sleep. People think I shave my legs.

The good news for me is the rest of my lower legs are not that hairy, so I don’t look like as big a freak as shuke does.

One thing I’ve noticed too, it changes at times. I wonder if sometimes when I’m more stressed I am more restless in sleep and so rub my legs together more.

Anyway, good luck with your weird legs. Have you considered a hairpiece for the back of your calves ?

Like a cricket?  Wouldn't your wife notice if you were rubbing your legs together frequently enough to remove hair?

I thought shuke's issue may be from sitting frequently with his legs crossed, but that doesn't completely explain the pattern.

I don't think my dad wore shorts outside for the first 65 years of his life.  His legs are white and hairless.  Unable to get a tan.

I'm going to say it's a vitamin deficiency and lack of exposure to sunlight.  And as always, I have no ####### idea what I'm talking about.

Once again, username checks out.

Same thing happened to me 5 years or so ago. Lost lower leg hair, forearm hair as well as eyebrows and eyelashes. Went to a dermatologist and she said it was Alopecia and it can't be cured. You can get steroid shots to the area in hopes it spurs new growth but that's about it. Very common if you've had other  immune disorders like chicken pox, psoriasis or excema.
Chicken pox is not an immune disorder.

Interesting. Yeah it could be from crossing legs too.
