My sister just moved and she gave us a Presto Pressure cooker. I fancy myself a pretty good chef but this is one of the few cooking items I have never used. Instead of reading what a bunch of spinsters cook with this thing I will call on the FFA to guide me.
We use one a lot to tenderize certain animal parts quicker than plain boiling for hours does. Pigs feet, ox tail, cow foot, etc. take a long while to make edible if you don't use a pressure cooker.

ooh, never thought of using the cooker for potatoes. Great idea. Just read this recipe and it cuts the prep time for tater salad by a ton. Thanks for the tip HellToupee.
Useful gadget for quick braising of meats. It reduces cooking times by a factor of 3-5. The only problem I have is don't have the chance to add vegetables, adjust seasonings, etc once the pressure comes up. I usually cook the vegetables separately and combine after the meat is finished.
