Buzz on Cubs message boards is that Aram will not play today and is seeing a hand specialist.

As of now it's just a rumor but if he doesn't paly today you'll know something is up.
First I've heard of it.
Same here. And he's currently hitting over .400.If he sits tonight I guess I'll be 3B shopping later on.
I wouldn't read to much into it.This is the first time I've heard anything about this.....and I live here in Chicago.

if I hear anything, I'll let you know.

Please do.I just looked at the FA 3B available in my league and it's not pretty.

Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez, off to a torrid start with a .406 average, one homer and five RBI, was scratched from the Cubs lineup Friday because of swelling in his right wrist.

Ramirez apparently hurt his wrist originally in spring training, but the swelling had worsened. He was sent to have the hand checked by a specialist before the Cubs played the Reds at Wrigley Field Friday, but no diagnosis was available.

Aramis Ramirez was out of the lineup with a swollen right wrist Friday and was sent to a hand specialist to be examined.

"Let's hope it's not serious, but he's got a lot of swelling," manager Lou Piniella said. Ryan Theriot would normally fill in for Ramirez, with Mark DeRosa moving to third, but DeRosa is also out today, putting Ronny Cedeno in the lineup. If Ramirez lands on the DL, the Cubs could recall Scott Moore to serve as a backup.

I hope he's alright, but I would certainly sit him for this series to make sure it does not become a lingering problem. Did I mention I am a Reds fan? :bag:
