Are most of the Staff from the West Coast? (1 Viewer)

Guys,

We have two options.  We can show you what's going to make it to the web or ONLY show something when it is LIVE.

We have opted for the other strategy because it serves as a placeholder to show the day is done.

We have input coming from a huge number of staff that also have everyday jobs.

If you want us to ensure we meet every deadline then I will post everything as promised on Friday morning.

Quality stuff takes time.  I work 18 hour days on Wednesday and Thursday.  If you want bad info faster, I suggets you subscribe to a different service.

I spend over 3 hours to update the Top 200 because I reaserach everything affecting movement.

I spend over 4 hours to do the game predictor feature since that is the backbone of how teams will play the game (in my opinion).

I spend 7 hours to do the projections.

Every article takes 20-30 minutes to format at a minimum.

I am not #####ing, but letting everyone know that this is the BEST schedule we can keep.  Yes  live on the West Coast, but don't really sleep much except on the weekends.
Oh Pleeaassee, you get to do something for a living that we would love to do, football related work and you are complaining about it? :D (hopefully he finds some humor in this late night jab and I don't get banned) :bag:
Well theoretically any of us could do it, it wasn't given to him. He worked for it, created a startup company. Its important to recognize the amount of work that goes into this website, I think. I guess some complaining is warranted at times, but don't be asses about it. Try to realize the amout of work these guys have.
Of course I was kidding, I don't think I would want the headaches of trying to keep a bunch of whiny football fans happy at all times. I have enough problems trying to keep my future wife happy, I dont need to keep 10000+ whiiny football addicts like me happy.

Don't take this the wrong way, but why should I care even the tiniest bit about your work schedule or how long it takes you to to do something for the site? It just sounds like you're offering more excuses as to why the info is late.I didn't create the site. I didn't decide to make it into a profitable business. I didn't tell you to spend hours of your day looking over fantasy football information and I certaintly didn't tell you to set a deadline that apparently the owner himself feels is very difficult to meet.

For subscribers, it comes down to this in my opinion.

Did I pay for my subscription? Yes

As a subscriber, should I expect FBGs to meet the deadlines they set? Yes

Have I been promised new material by a certain date? Yes

Has that material been delivered on time? No

Do I have a legitimate complaint? Yes

When I post my complaint, do I expect to hear excuses? No

Everytime I see subscribers post a complaint, 9 times out of 10 the issue becomes about why it is late instead of the staff simply saying, "You are right, we missed the deadline and that is not acceptable. It will not happen in the future."

Instead, it's as if they are given more excuses as to why they shouldn't complain when it happens in the future.

Point is every site gets stuff up late at times. I'd rather them put quality up a few hours later than crap up on time. Also FBG puts a lot more stuff out there for 24.99 than I get $40.00 so consider it a steal just like Cadillac in the 4th. :banned: I pay for another site currently and dont get as much info. Every year I say I will switch but I never do just because of my own lazyness and routine.

And BTW, Dodds is on the west coast, but the rest of the staff lives in Hawaii. It's still Wednesday here.

I wonder if articles would be posted sooner if they weren't pestered into writing responses to a complaint thread.

I pay for this site and another site and this site has by far way more info. Of course the other site is a little faster (J/K guys, for some reason I am in a smart### mood tonight). I like them both and will continue to subscribe to both as long as they keep giving me this great info.

I was going to reply to this in detail, but I can't speak for FBGs. I think what it comes down to in many cases, though, is quality. I'm sure they could put something up there in time, but would rather wait a little bit to get it right. And I have no problem with that.

Wow this Dodd's guy really needs to get out more often. I think I saw this guy on an NFL commercial stealing Tiki's sweaty game jersey. 18 hours is pretty much ridiculous.

as David said, the alternative is simply to set later deadlines...and that isn't going to be good for anyone.99% of the time this year, things are posted on time or within a reasonable distance from when they were promised. these threads popped up nearly every day last season but this is one of the few I've seen this year. to say we don't care or just keep making excuses is ridiculous...major strides have been made and will continue to be made in the future.the site obviously takes this seriously...if we didn't, we would lose a lot of subscribers each and every year. we said we'd get better and deliver information in a more timely manner, and we have done that.

Dude, you aren't a subscriber right? You have chosen not to subscribe for one reason or another. Maybe it's because you have heard the content is late. Whatever. Everyone can choose to do that. If you don't like it, don't pay. If you don't like the service at a restaurant, don't eat there. Ahh. But what if the food is really good? Well, maybe you cut them some slack on the service.Bottom line is, if you don't like it, don't subscribe. If you subscribe and don't like, Joe and Dave will probably give you your money back.

Now go figure out your lineups for this week instead of whining about something you are not even paying for.

Points made. Questions asked. Questions answered. We're done here gentlemen.Last season we heard the complaints, and we're doing a MUCH better job this season. As always, full refunds are available if you're still not satisfied. It's not what we want, but we respect your right to go that route. Hit me with a PM or email if that's the path you wish to choose.
