Are oysters an acquired taste? (1 Viewer)

i was never a fan of oysters until i had really fresh/good ones. Every year the New York Food and Wine Festival has an oyster event and its amazing. No need to put anything on the oysters and you get to taste the differences in flavors. Love them now, but i will only order them from a good seafood place.

Agree. Anyone that dislikes them just hasn't tried a good fresh oyster.

You guys seem to be confusing enhancement with cover up. You use the hot sauce to make the oysters even edible. Shrimp is edible and quite good on it's own for example. Don't need sauce to choke down shrimp until you convince yourself you like it.

Shrimp and oysters are very similar to me. The sauce really compliments them and sure I could eat both without the sauce but I wouldn't.

I pretty much don't like anything on my oysters. Sometimes I'll use a little cocktail sauce and horseradish, but for the most part I just eat them right out of the shell.

What do you think of Blue Pools and Hama Hamas. These are the two I'm getting for this weekend as part of a sampler.

Don't know if I've ever had a Blue Pool... I'll put it on the hit list.
hamas are great and it's probably blue point.
