As of 1/1/2015, what is the longest you have gone without going online (1 Viewer)

I did six days last summer canoeing/camping on the Allagash River. (Maine/Canada border) I felt like I had detoxed when I reconnected after that, but it didn't take long to lapse into stoopid usage again.

This summer I'll be doing 11 days on the trail out at Philmont Scout Ranch, New Mexico. After that one I am going to try really hard to resist going back down the rabbit hole...

What's really sad is that I'm starting to forget what life was like before the internet changed things so much. So many aspects of life these days involve being plugged in.

I do still remember riding my bike a couple of miles to the local b-ball court with a ball in a backpack and couple of bucks in my velcro wallets so I could by a soda and something to eat.
yeah this.. like if the internet was turned off all of a sudden, i think i'd have shock tantamount to someone giving up smoking

1 or 2 days. I moved in January and went without Internet or cable for a while. It wasn't too bad really.
Cable I feel like I could do without for weeks. I'd miss my Royals baseball, but there are really very few shows I watch, and none of them are really must see TV that i'd be that sad about.

But man.. that baseball... would be tough.

But the effing internet.. it's my news source through twiter... the competitive outlet i have always had with video games is now phone games (scrabble, chess, quizzup)... my social communication with friends and family via texting or google+, my financial resource (mint, google finance, merrill edge), a work contact via e-mail, my method for playing FFL, and of course my pr0n

If i had to keep up with friends through the actual telephone or live contact... well, it would just be too much of a bother and I lose touch with many.
