I'd wait until Shields clears waivers. I don't see your team being in a much better place if you get the guy. Why grab Storen? Is it a keeper league?
I'd grab Storen just to ensure that I have 3 closers.Would you do the trade?
Storen isn't the closer. I'm not sure you have a large enough bench to roster a guy that may or may not get the gig this year. I'd pass on that deal but if you were going to make it I'd move Garza (of course I am an A's fan so I  Cahill). Jeter is going to get tons of playing time on the Yankees. He can suck all season and should still get more rbi's/runs than Asdrubal.

Is it to early to give up on Soto? I'm beginning to wonder if this will be a another bad year or if he hasn't recovered from surgery yet.

Thinking of dropping him for Nick Hundley, Alex Avila, or J.P. Arencibia.
Relapse?
If you can really call it that. I spent a decade sober until a little less than a year ago. I've kicked heroin now 4 times since October. Gone through hell. Ate a few bites of soup tonight. First food since Friday afternoon. I don't know what it is. I'm down in the sun of the great southwestern USA. Finally slept a few hours today. My girl drove us down and now I'll probably have to rent a car to get back. Gonna go hit the Kia Vaporizer and try to get some appetite going.

Worst Baseball fans?
Define worst. Philly fans are pretty awful but they at least show up and have some passion. Marlins fans - do they exist?
Outside college, and maybe football, I don't think Flordia supports any of their teams. I doubt 20% even know they have a NHL team. But I think boston fans are a bunch of tea bagging ##### bags.

This whole LAD/SF thing was the reason for this postWife and I once left a Cub/Sox game(at the Cell) because she/we felt physically threatened I'm sure this kind of thing happens at every ball park, but some are much worse than others.

you'd be wrong about Tampa then. I don't defend the Rays attendance but the Bolts are really popular here.

Fixed for you.Check the attendance figures. Attendance at the Vet was atrocious- often well under 2 million for their last decade or two there- and attendance at the new park was nothing special until they made the playoffs in 2007.

And I can tell you personally that they had very few fans make the trip to DC until after they became a playoff team. The Mets and Braves had far more fans for road games despite being further away.

I stated my disdain for Dodger fans in that team's thread. They are amongst the worst in that regard. High percent of scum (compared to other teams, not overall).

What's a fair offer for Josh Hamilton? Thinking about offering something and just taking the hit for a while (h2h so I can afford it).

I was thinking a Harper/Trout + a decent closer. I'm an owner and i've accepted I will never get a full year of Hamilton. Plus he could fall off at any point. I'd value him right now as an early 3rd rounder in the 30-34 range. I'm going to make some prospect offers. I guess it depends on where the owner is at in the standings and if we're talking keeper/dynasty formats. In seasonal formats I wouldn't pay much. I would ship him in dynasty for Kinsler or Cruz.

I was offered Papelbon for Teixeria. The owner admitted that I wouldn't accept the offer, but just wanted to start the negotiations. He has made available Josh Hamilton, Kendry Morales, Brian Wilson and Jonathan Papelbon (either Wilson and Papelbon but not both).

The rest of his team (frankly I think he is panicking a bit as his team is solid outside of OF and lacking SP #s):

C: Chris Ianetta

1B: Adrian Gonzalez

2B: Ian Kinsler

3B: Jonathan Herrera

SS: Elvis Andrus

OF: Ichiro, Luke Scott, Raul Ibanez

UTL: Michael Bourn, Jacoby Ellsbury

Bench: Casey McGehee

DL: Josh Hamilton, Kendrys Morales

SP: Clayton Kershaw, Jaime Garcia, CJ Wilson, Edinson Volquez, Alexi Ogando

RP: Brian Wilson, Koji Uehara, Jonathan Papelbon, Jose Valverde, Brian Fuentes, Ryan Madson, Frank Francisco

My team:

C: Soto

1B: Miggy

2B: Phillips

SS: Jeter

3B: Sandoval

OFF: Holliday, Abreu, Granderson

UTL: Teixeira, Morneau

P: Billingsley, Cahill, Edwin Jackson, Harang, Garza, Shields, Pavano (about to drop to activate Ubaldo), Britton

RP: Rivera, Joel Hanrahan, Kevin Gregg, Sean Burnett

Bench: Pedro Alvarez

DL: Jurrjens, Ubaldo

My initial thought was his Morales and Brian Wilson for my Teixeira and Kevin Gregg.

i know this is "ask fin" but you dont need another upper tier closer. hanahahananan is the next big thing. you have 2 top 5 closers. if you really want pitching offer him morneau for kershaw. if hes hesitant, offer him miggy or tex for kershaw and wilson or paps

I have Yadier Molina as my catcher in a 12 team league. Hank Conger is on my minor league farm team. Should I cut Molina and bring up Conger?

I realize Yadier is average at best for fantasy purposes, but he's a solid option who gets plenty of ABs.

You plan on rolling without a backup catcher? Short rosters?
What do we do with Mark Reynolds?
There's not much you can do but hold. Can't sell low. The guy has been through streaks before. I'm happy I didn't draft him this year.

Yeah rosters are a little tight. I don't have room for 2 catchers.

What should I do with Sean Burnett? My only closers are Mariano, Hanrahan, and Gregg (12 team league).

Thinking about dropping him for Sanchez (Stl).

Sell or buy on Alex Gordon?

The average will obviously come down, but I think he's legit, so I say buy. I just wanted to get another opinion or two.

What should I do here?

I want to start watching more baseball and using this to get back into the game I love. I like weekly h2h points leagues.

I joined a 4 keeper round you drafted him league. 12 teams

Start C,1,2,3,SS, 4 OF, 3U 6SP, 2 RP

Pitchers only get max 9 starts per week

Scoring 1 for singles, 2 for doubles, 4 triple, 5 HR, 1 for runs, RBI, -0.5 for K, 2 for SB

10 for win, -5 loss, 5 for save, -2BS, -1 ER, -1Hit, 1 for K I assume walks hurt as well 3 for IP

Where should I focus and not focus with these settings. And rank top 2 after Trout, Miggy, Goldschmidt
