Astros/Phillies in the 15th inning - Ryan Howard ejected (1 Viewer)

You could see after he called the first check swing a strike on Howard, when Howard put his hands on his hips, so the ump put his hands on his hips and gave him a death stare like "How dare you try and show me up". There was no doubt in anyones mind that if Howard checked swung again, that guy was gonna call it a strike no matter what.

This is one issue I have with Major League Umpires, some of these guys think that the fans are there to see them call strikes and outs or throw people out. If this guys skin is that thin, he might want to find a new profession.

This whole crew has been a nightmare. The game before with Michael Bourn running down the firstbase line and the ump not asking for help on the call. The homeplate ump had a better view of if a tag was applied but couldn't offer assistance unless asked for by the firstbase ump. The system isn't set to get the call right, it's set to make sure that the ump making the call isn't "shown up". That's not a good system.

Ironically the homeplate ump was the turd from last night that tossed Howard. Finally seen the highlights. What a dooshbag he is. He acted like a 6 year old girl imitating Howard after the first ck swing strike. I've never, ever seen an ump do something like that towards a player. I'm not completely absolving Ryan for the ejection, but his anger clearly escalated after being mocked by that jackass. He's the same guy that bounced Zimmerman last week for the first time in his career. Seems like the ump has the issues.

I hope this clown is sent back down to single A ball in North Dakota where he belongs, or a women's softball league in Peoria. He obviously does not deserve to be in the big leagues.
