1.04 Oakland Raiders – Darren McFadden RB, Arkansas

I don’t think the Cowboys are willing to give up three picks to move up and take McFadden, so it looks like the Raiders will have to take him themselves. I just don’t see them getting any others offers that will make them pass on the top rated RB. They have made a lot of moves on defense, so maybe this is the best long term move to try and improve the offence. If they somehow take a pass, I wouldn’t be surprised if they called DT Ellis with this pick.

The more I think about this, the more I keep thinking that Oak will trade out of this pick. I think a few teams are going to fall in love with either Gholston or Dorsey and make a move to ensure they get "their guy." I know you have both of those guys gone before Oak picks, but if that doesn't happen, I think we could very likely see Oak move out of this spot.

The Raiders pick was the most difficult ... partly beacuse I'm a Raiders fan and partly because I really wanted Dorsey to fall to them. I just don't see Dorsey falling past both the Rams and Falcons. If he does, I think it is a slam dunk. I'm leaning towards them taking Ellis in my next version, since I don't think a trade down is likely. Other than the Cowboys, nobody really has the ammo and Jerry Jones has stated pretty clearly that he will not trade into the top 5.
