Attack on London bridge, reports people run down, stabbed and shots fired (1 Viewer)

London Mayor Sadiq Khan faced a grilling this week by journalist Piers Morgan after admitting that hundreds of jihadists back from Syria are not being tracked by police.

“Good Morning Britain” co-hosts Susanna Reid and Mr. Morgan fired a barrage of questions during a Tuesday interview with London’s mayor, who blamed budgetary constraints for the city’s inability to monitor all citizens back from ISIS battlefields. Mr. Khan said “just over half” of 400 British fighters a back in country after fighting with Islamic terrorists groups.

“Why can’t you instruct the police, why can’t you call [Metropolitan Police Chief] Cressida **** right now, and say every one of those people that’s come back from a war zone, who’s in London, I want them followed?” Mr. Morgan asked.

“Let me tell you why. Because the Met Police budget, roughly speaking, 15 percent, 20 percent is funded by me, the mayor. The rest comes from central government. If the Met Police is being shrunk and reduced, they’ve got to prioritize and use their resources in a sensible, savvy way.”

Mr. Morgan, incredulous, shot back, “What could be a bigger priority than people coming back from a Syrian battlefield with intent to harm British citizens? Why is it not the number one priority?”

The segment came against the backdrop of last Saturday’s London Bridge attack that killed seven
Letting over 400 comeback to Britain after fighting with terrorists is insane

Haha - from The Washington Times - no wonder you didn't provide a link.
Tuesday on “Good Morning Britain,” Piers Morgan questioned London Mayor Sadiq Khan’s priorities when he admitted the police department is not following the 400 people who fought with terror groups in the Middle East and the “just over half” who have returned to London.

Oh darn. Looks like the fake news media got everyones hopes up just to have to finally escape the fantasy of exit polls and admit the reality of who "barely" won.

Terror in Britain: What Did the Prime Minister Know?

by JOHN PILGER

The unsayable in Britain’s general election campaign is this. The causes of the Manchester atrocity, in which 22 mostly young people were murdered by a jihadist, are being suppressed to protect the secrets of British foreign policy.

Critical questions – such as why the security service MI5 maintained terrorist “assets” in Manchester and why the government did not warn the public of the threat in their midst – remain unanswered, deflected by the promise of an internal “review”.

The alleged suicide bomber, Salman Abedi, was part of an extremist group, the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, that thrived in Manchester and was cultivated and used by MI5 for more than 20 years.
