Auction Keeper: Gordon vs Thomas (1 Viewer)

Keep going back and forth on this one so thought I'd throw it out for opinion.  Thanks in advance to all who take time to answer!

Melvin Gordon for $10 or Michael Thomas for $2?

14 team, PPR auction league.  Start 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 Flex.  $225 budget for 22 roster spots (but only 3 bench spots - complicated overall lineup).

Current thoughts:

Projected top 5 RB at a relatively scares position and Gordon probably goes for $50+, but greater injury risk and generally underwhelming YPC.

Projected top 8 WR for only $2 - should go for at least $35-40 and maybe more, but asking a lot for a 2nd year WR to take on #1 CBs with other real threats to draw coverage.

Today I'm leaning Gordon ... but in about 5 min I'll probably flip back.

Other known keepers thus far:  2 RB (Bell, Crowell); 3 WR (Diggs, Fitz, Pryor)

Cooks all the way. Gordon has way too much injury risk and with RB year to year variance Cooks is a screaming better value.

I would go Gordon, 14 teams means good rbs are going to be hard to come by cheap. I would still probably go Gordon in a 12 team, the $8 difference I don't think will make or break your draft
