Auction Values in the ESPN draft room (1 Viewer)

What do the values presented in the draft room represent? Are they ESPN's projected value, an average cost based on all the mocks, or something else?

I realized that most of the people in my league will be using the draft room as their only cheatsheet. As I finish up my own cheatsheet, I'm planning on adding this cost in a separate column so that I can anticipate a little where I'll be able to find value.

Yeah, this sucks doesn't it. I wish they wouldn't list any values.I believe the pre-set values are determined from the average auction value the players are going for on ESPN.

This is dumb because you will have mockers that will spend $75 on Foster and $75 on Vick - then leave the mock. So many of these values are inflated over where they should be.

Myself I'm going to use Draft Dominator to gauge where the true values should be. The marquis players will be going for more but there will be bargains to be had.

I don't actually mind the values being listed, I just want to know what they represent. I have a feeling half my league will be using the listed values as their baseline cost. I'll have my own set of prices to work with.

I'm pretty sure they are values suggested by the ESPN staff, not AAV's. I'm also pretty sure they don't generally change throughout the draft season.

The values are pretty helpful. They help inexperienced auction players get a general idea of what to bid. They are also very easy for experienced players to take advantage of, especially since they are old and don't change.

Players that are rising up draft boards will not be made known by auction suggest value changes.

Every year, the late pre-season risers are buried deep within the player list.
