Auctoin value for first six rounds (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, I'm in a league that drafts the first six rounds via auction, then snakes the rest.  I can not attend and need to rank players for the auction portion of the draft.  So, how would you go about this?  Maybe set up tiers? Percentage of available money per player?  I can't be competitive if I don't get a few of the top 60 players.  I'll have to have someone doing this by proxy based on what I tell them ahead of time.  Any help on this would be great!  Thanks!

What are the ramifications of running out of money?  Do you just make up the players at the end of the draft?  Do you need to save cap space for the draft?  In order to answer it would be helpful to know what the money aspect of the auction represents.

If it is just a way to do the first six rounds and there are no ramifications beyond that I would give the proxy two or three guys to get at all costs.  A couple guys with a max bid (kind of mid tier guys) and then a handful of min bid guys to fill out your six spots after you overspend on the few must haves.  Hopefully you have an idea of how your league mates handle the auction so you can kind of smartly choose your must have guys to give you a good chance to get them at reasonable prices even though they are "must haves at all costs".

I think this would be the easiest way for the proxy to mange the auction and hope that the proxy isn't also in the draft.

The cap is $182

Auction players start at $5

Snake draft players are $2

Free agents are $1

We draft 20 players total.  First 60 auctioned. and plan on about $144 for the auction

We draft IDP in this league as well.  In the past I have rotated these guys out almost weekly until I find someone who just crushes for a while.

So you have to save $28 for the draft (14 rounds at $2 per round)?  Do you need to save money for free agents or do you get back the money from people you cut to sign free agents?

For IDP, how many do you start?  It sounds like it may just be one or two and if that is the case you are doing it right and treat them like kickers.  They have no impact at all and you can always find someone to put in the lineup that will score.  As an IDP guy it makes me sad when leagues handle them this way.  It really makes them absolutely useless.
