Auto Draft Hades? My thinking, how bad? (1 Viewer)

Last few years have been mailing it in. This year was planning to be on top of it, but had a couple of set backs. Final straw was draft last thursday. Had actual influenza and let ESPN do Auto draft. I need a backup QB (four teams in a 10 team league have no backup). Probably going to have to wait a couple of weeks to try and trade for WR. How bad is it?

Why don't you like this team? RB depth is the most difficult thing to come by and you have potential studs everywhere. Your QB has stud potential. You're defense is top tier. And you kicker is a very solid option. Your WRs aren't amazing but they have potential to be a pair of WR1s and a WR2. You should send ESPN a thank you card. 

Also, why in a 10 team league would you get a back up QB? There's 5 that you listed there already. Don't waste the roster spot on a player that you can pick up whenever you need.

I'm starting to get trade offers for RBs. I hope they all go off this weekend.

im not gonna lie - it's bad. The logic of autodraft taking Lynch & Gore after you already went RB-RB-RB is mind boggling. 

I would be trying to identify the Raiders honk in your league & deal him Lynch for a WR2. That's a start. 

On the other hand, Marshall could deliver, as might DJax & if healthy, Brown.

you should be able to survive until you can make a deal, but you must make a deal.

consider dealing McCoy to the Evans owner - surely they were 1-2 picks apart and they may be frustrated that they don't have a WR week 1.

Is this a Keeper or redraft league?
I like that team also. Your RBs are off the charts and WRs are serviceable. I would pick up Bradford in place of Henry. 
You should be able to trade some of your RB depth for a WR upgrade midseason. I'd think about trading Lynch, Gore or Ajayi early to midseason for another quality WR if Moncrief and Brown don't pan out. Also, make sure you keep on top of the waiver wire, focusing on WRs who are getting a lot of targets. 
I'd also think about trading for or picking up a TE. 
But this team should have no problem contending for the playoffs.
