AVENGERS: Infinity War Thread. (step aside Star Wars) (1 Viewer)

That would be really good.......but I think ALL of the original Avengers from the first movie would have to be in on it.....and they'd have to alter the choices a bit.
Agreed. It's not a bad starting point but I hope that's not the final product.

Went for a third viewing at one of those theater/restaurants.   Wow, Imax 3D really is a MUCH better movie-viewing experience.

So I picked up two small things I hadn't noticed before, which though small would lend themselves to the Banner-is-Loki theory.

Right at the start of the movie, when Thor is in post beat-down by Thanos... Loki steps over to Thor and says something along the lines of, "I promise you our star will rise again, brother".  Given how hopeless their situation at that moment, I think it easily could have been Loki trying to give Thor some sign that Loki had a plan.

Second, when it came down to extracting the Mind Stone from Vision, you'd think having been part of hooking it up in the first place, Banner could have contributed something there. But he just completely shut down the notion of him being able to do it.  Which if it was Loki would again make sense.

Like I said, small things, still don't know that I expect the theory to be right, but figured I'd mention them.
Yeah, Bruce didn’t seem to be the smartest guy in the room during the movie for someone with 6 or 7 PhDs.  I took the whole, “we didn’t think of that” response in wakanda as a nod to Wakanda’s massive technology advantage, although her questioning/response seemed a little bit, “you guys are stupid.”  But Banner’s response did come across as a response I would have said and not something one of the smartest people in the MCU would have said. I almost hope the theory is right; otherwise Banner seems to be devolving.

I have a question.  How did Thor know to go to Wakanda once he acquired Stormbreaker?  It was awesome; one of the best moments in the movie, but I have no idea how he’d know to go there.

The same way that Thanos knew exactly where to go for every infinity stone except for the one where finding it was necessary character development.

Because it's a movie ;)

Saw it again. I was the only one sarcastically laughing when the Wakandan lady (Michonne) quipped to Black Panther about opening up Wakanda and how she didn't think it'd be like this. She thought they'd have the Olympics or a Starbucks. I was like, "whoops."

Isn't banner the one who called Cap?  How would Loki have known to do that?
Strange and Tony were with Banner when Tony pulled the cell phone out. Banner found the phone once Tony left Earth. It is not confirmed that Banner called him though because no one ever mentioned something like, "thanks for the call."

To this day my nephew accuses me of having seen a preview of the movie because I said either Gamorah or Nebula would die.

now that we know how that all worked out - there is no way Nebula doesn’t have a prominent role in taking down Thanos.

It was pretty clear that it was Banner who called Cap after Tony has gone into space.

Banner picks the phone up off the ground, and the camera focuses on the phone screen in which he pulls up Steve Rodgers number.  They then show him placing the call and putting the phone to his ear before the scene cuts.
