Bad weather tomorrow night (1 Viewer)

There is a thread in the shark pool talking about the weather in cleveland tomorrow night. Supposed to be snowy with high winds, as much as 40-50mph. That thread obviously talking about offensive players. Thought we could debate tDP if any.

Likely less passing except for short ones. Tackle numbers probably go up but what about the big plays. Sack opportunities down, ints eopps down, but maybe more bad passes? more chances for fumbles? Do you sit some of the stud Pit players like James Harrison, Timmons, Woodley?

Debating on Woodley myself. Would love to hear some thoughts. I looked at the defense stats for some of the snow/wind games referenced in the other SP thread, and they revealed significant declines in pass attempts. Some games had less than 10 per team.

I was wondering about this game myself. Is Abram Elam still starting, and would he be a decent play with the Steelers likely running alot in this game?

I wouldn't bench any of the big play Steelers against the Browns in bad weather -- assuming the scoring system isn't significantly tackle heavy. Timmons, Harrison (even facing Joe Thomas) and Woodley are all reasonable starts.

That said, wouldn't we expect more tackle opportunities as a result of more rushing attempts though?

With all the rushing attempts the game clock will go by faster / there will be less 3rd down conversions, especially by the better team so there will be more punts / more than usually uncompleted pass attempts were no one on the field gets points. Bad weather just isn't good for Fantasy. No Matter the situation, your players just aren't on the field as much from what I noticed. I remember that terrible game where Mia played in Pitt in the storm some years and I don't think any IDPer lit it up that night.

You would think, could see alot of 3 and outs with an incompletion, howver I look for the Steelers to have success on the ground. I agree with Jene, I like the big play Steeler guys.
