I am a first time IDP league player and I listen to the audible and hear them refence balanced scoring vs. big play or sack heavy scoring. Can someone give me some general guidelines of how to determine which is which? Thanks guys.
Without points for sack yards or quarterback hits, I generally say that a sack-to-tackle ratio of 4:1 (i.e. 4pt/sack, 1pt/solo) is balanced. 1:1 or 2:1 is tackle heavy, 5:1 or greater would be sack heavy. Almost every sack includes a QH and, on average, a sack results in six yards lost, so you can factor those in if you're scoring system uses those.
