I'd like to think the posters in the particular forum would hold up pretty well with other fantasy sights. Definie credentials to evaluate the trade value of players. List trades from your competitive leagues here.

12 Team - Dynasty - Roto

Julio Teneran for JJ Putz

Chris Archer, Felipe Lopez, Brandon Wood for Travis Hafner, Macier Izturis, Chipper Jones

Bryce Harper, Eric Hosmer, Jacob Turner - Ryan Braun, Buster Posey

10 Team Dynasty H2H

Dan Uggla for Neftali Feliz - Only trade made in this league. Heavy overvaluation of players or just plain fear of getting worked over

I just put on a high dollar mask my roommate gave me. Shoving off out of state tomorrow morning. It took me 45 minute to start this thread.

12 team roto keeper league(2 trades all year)

C Pena for J Axford

J Reyes/M Rivera for A Gonzales/A Ramirez(WS)

Lots of offers, just nothing of substance

I'm not trading Youk for your backup SS!!!!

Good thread.

10 team, 35 man rosters, 11-player keeper

Gio/Shields for Aramis/A.Bailey (Apr. 6)

D.Lee/Chris Davis/K.McLellan for Morrow/A.LaRoche/M.Ordonez (Apr. 15)

D.Price/Pence for Bruce/Fowler (Apr. 18)

17-team auction league, 5x5 (23-man rosters, 10 reserves, 7 minors). 2 pretty equally matched owners.

Chad Billingsley (and Drew Pomeranz) for Carl Crawford

Seems like a panic move to me - Crawford's owners probably could have gotten more. Pomeranz is nothing special.

sorry but hope you guys understand multi sport leagues

Ryan Braun for Drew Stubbs, Dez Bryant

Gordon Beckham for Tyler Hansbourgh PF IND

Granderson, David Price, Andrew Bailey for Pavel Datsyuk C top 10 fantasy player Danny Granger F IND Beanie Wells and David Aardshma

11 team, 5x5 roto, non-keeper

Chris Young for Jered Weaver

Carl Crawford, James Shields for Chris Carpenter, Zack Greinke, Jay Bruce, Martin Prado

Rusell Martin, Kevin Youkilis, Angel Pagan, Jordan Walden, Zack Greinke for Victor Martinez, Paul Konerko, Aramis Ramirez, Kevin Gregg, Max Scherzer

Just offered Carlos Santana and Uggla for Kinlser and Hosmer.

Sitting on a Jerry Sands for K-Rod trade. I'm the K-Rod owner and I can't seem to pull the trigger. I can afford to lose a closer as I also have Storen, Bell, and Nathan. There'ss 30 teams in the league and 13 in our league. With a few MLB teams either dealing with injury or going CBC that would mean that each team in the league should average two legitimate closers. Two teams in this league are very closer heavy. So even if it came down to Storen and Bell I should be okay. And even if Nathan regains his role and I'm 4 strong with closers at best I finish 2nd in saves. Worst case scenario with the exception of all of my guys getting injured, I finish in the middle of the pack.

I'm in the same league (and a noted RP whore) so take this for what it's worth. Unless you think Sands is really special, I'd stick w/ Rodriguez. Closers have increased value in deeper leagues because the role dictates scarcity. There are only 30-40 RPs with value at any given time, no matter if your fantasy league has 10 or 24 teams, or 20 or 36 man rosters. If K-Rod stays healthy, there's no reason to think he won't remain a closer for the next few years--just not with the Mets and not at his current salary.I was skeptical about Sands when he was called up. He's 23 so there's upside but for now, he's a bench player at best. I don't think his SBs will translate and his SO propensity will kill his AVG. So his fantasy value will always be heavily dependent on his power, which seems like it's the toughest thing to project from the minors to majors.

I think I just traded away 2 closers this week in this league  . What Eephus says about only 30 or 40 having value at any given time is true, but who those 30 or 40 are seem to change so frequently, I don't think it's a bad idea to strike and make a trade while the closers have value.

True but a relatively consistent second tier guy like Rodriguez has considerably more value than chasing SVs in garbage bins in St Louis, Houston, etc.

I agree and I thought you got pretty good value on both trades, including the one with me. Generally better to be the one trading closers away as they can lose value so fast, especially in dynasty.Of course I'm in a position where it'd be moronic to sit there with 2 points in a category while I'm trying to compete for a money spot. But that's why it's good to cash in on your closers - there's almost always a couple teams in a position where they need saves and will pay for them.

I guess I'm the least optimistic guy on this board about Jerry Sands. I see his upside as Adam Laroche with a few more steals. He'll have some value but won't be a top 100 guy. Please repost this and have a drink on me when Sands is inducted into the Hall of Fame

From what I've seen, the kid has a really quick bat. He can wait on pitches as well as anyone. I think the problem right now lies in pitch recognition. If he can figure that out, he could be deadly. Instead, everything's being hit opposite way, because he can wait so long, and that power he showed in the minors has turned into warning track power in the bigs.Long term prospects I like, so he's a keeper league guy. Redraft, he has no business being on a roster in 12, maybe even 14 team leagues.

12 team 5x5 mixed, 30-man rosters (start 21), keep as many as you want for a contract term up to 5 years. Kind of a complicated setup with long-term contracts and various types of keepers depending on how long a guy has been playing.

Not many trades happen until the mid-summer when the contenders boost up their teams through draft pick trading and some of the younger talent gets flipped for premier guys who are in the final year of their "contracts". Here's our only deal, made last week:

Sam Fuld and Zach Britton

for

Denard Span and Cody Ross

I was the team getting Span. I have a few guys on the DL and needed to clear a roster spot to keep some of them, so I figured I'd upgrade from Fuld to a more solid version of Fuld. Not a great deal in terms of value received but I was losing Britton and like Span more than Fuld.

12 team, 5x5, $300 buy in.

I was part of the 1st trade of the season in our league. I needed 1B and he needed a RP.

I gave: Chipper Jones and Drew Storen

I got: Victor Matinez and Mike Aviles

Without me listing rosters, thoughts?

12 Team H2H limited keeper league

I dealt

Adrian Gonzalez

Johnny Gomes

Josh Willingham

AJ Burnett

I receive

Carlos Gonzalez

Jeff Francoeur

CC Sabathia

I have Miguel Cabrera so he moves to 1B and I now have no corner infielder in my lineup.

The guy I dealt w was in dead last place and couldn't wait on Cargo anymore. Also he has Felix and Kershaw and terrible offense so the OFs work
