I was just reading on ESPN about Anderson that he "started in place of the injured Thomas Davis." Does that mean that Anderson is playing WLB, with Beason on at SLB (if those are the right terms for the Car D)? If so, will this limit Beason's upside, with the MLB and WLB historically being the better IDP positions in Car?

Davis was the weak side linebacker. Beason slid over from the middle to the weak side with Dan Connor filling Beason's vacancy in the middle and James Anderson remaining on the strong side. I personally don't see the switch hurting Beason's value much since the Panthers play a lot of cover-2 which tends to naturally funnel a lot of plays to the weak side of the field.

That's what I had figured--glad to see that it was just a lack of clarification on ESPN's part.
