Ridiculous & comical all wrapped up in one - only the Mets is right.
He couldn't have this surgery in September/October and be ready for Opening Day?
Degenerative knee condition = ungood for a 32 year old.
IMO the Mets best player decides on his own to have microfractive knee surgery in January without informing the team. GREAT IDEA CARLOS - especialy after last year.
And now the Metrs will try to get out of the contract. Great start to 2010.

What a disgrace. Until we have new ownership, or ownership that actually gets a decent GM and does as told by said GM, this franchise will remain a laughing stock.
It's pathetic and it should eat at Fred Wilpon and the entire ownership as they deserve every possible criticism lobbied their way.
