Ben Jarvis Green Ellis going forward (1 Viewer)

Any NE homers out there think that BJGE will lose his current role to Steven Ridley? Ridley was taken in the second round and has thus far looked better than BJGE.

What do you think his role will be going forward? Will he have a role?

Not this year, barring an injury or absolutely terrible play from BJGE. Next year? - It's still too early IMO to have a good idea.

Ridley was taken in the third round, and Vereen was taken in the second round, but I don't think what round matters. BJGE wasn't even drafted. I think BJGE will continue his role, and Ridley will continue to get playing time. I think it will be a committee with a variety of backs.

BJGE's current role will continue: 12-16 carries with GL looks.

Ridley will be getting 10+ touches per game, if not more if he continues looking better than Lawfirm

With Woodhead dinged, there's a good chance we'll get some clarity this weekend. If Ridley gets extra touches and pours it on for a third game in a row, I don't see how Ridley doesn't start eating into BJGE's carries and reduce BJGE's value. If Ridely fumbles and BJGE outperforms him, I'd feel a little more confident with BJGE as a low end RB2. Either way, though, I'd be realllll concerned if I owned BJGE. IMO he has less value than Jacobs at this point, and Jacobs is like a less-than-ideal flex. No idea where Ridley's upside is, though, because we haven't seen him slow down. This whole theory of Ridley being capped by a four-way RBBC is based on the assumption that Ridely slows down.
