ben tate...anyone starting him this week? (1 Viewer)

I have both Foster & Tate...I think that I'm going to roll the dice and play Tate as my flex. My other options are James Jones, Reggie Wayne or Chris Ivory

Interested to see if anyone is gambling on him against a crappy Carolina defense?
I do currently. Pretty much him or Bradshaw. I have Foster (and M. Bush) and can have another RB at flex. Tate has good potential for a TD and 60-80 yds. He also gives you cover in case Foster pulls up lame early - not likely but always a chance and this is the playoffs or is benched early due to blowout. It's a bit of a conservative move.

he has gotten less than 10 carries in a buncha games and fumbled on the goaline last week. Wouldnt expect much. just sayin....

Yes, with my only other option being Pierre Thomas for my #2 RB (due to injuries). I am an underdog in my matchup so I need to roll the dice on a few players and hope I hit it big - and Tate is one of them.

Rolling with him this week. BJGE has been disappointing last couple weeks. Mo Morris is hurt. I have Foster and Tate and I'm going with both.

I'm leaving him on my bench with Pierre Garcon and Demaryius Thomas starting ahead of him. (We have two RB/WR flex positions)

In over Mendy, Blount and McGahee (I know, everybody loves the Tebows offense against NE, I'm just not one of them). I think Houston is still the better team, and their strength (running) plays right agains the Carolina weakness. No Andre this week, and while Yates is impressing so far he's not likely to be the focus of the offensive gameplan. Foster and Tate could see 25 and 15 touches respectively and I think both put up usable fantasy points.

Mendy will be going against a STUD run D in SF with a handicapped passing game to (not) take the heat off. Blount is forgotten about when TB is trailing (will be trailing by a lot, early) and I think the Pats front 7 is good enough and the coaching good enough to gameplan against the Tebow option and get a lead that mitigates McGahee (he doesn't catch any passes - got his 1st catch in over two months last week).

I want to start him. I have Tate and Foster but it looks like K. Smith is starting and he could be a beast in ppr. Gotta roll with him and pray he holds up.

Only league that I don't have K. Smith. If I did, I'd start Smith easily. I expect a huge day from him.

considering Tate over Sproles in nonppr league. They both get about the same touches, but Sproles usually has more yardage. It's a coin toss, really, but I do think Tate offers more upside vs the Panthers...Sproles is going to get roughly the same looks as he usually does...but in a blowout the Texans could try to protect Foster.
