Patriots | Watson misses portion of practice Wednesday

Wed, 13 Dec 2006 10:40:49 -0800

Mike Reiss, of the Boston Globe, reports New England Patriots TE Benjamin Watson (leg) missed at least a portion of the team's practice Wednesday, Dec. 13.

I think I'm going to rule out Watson and sift through my other options. I've got KW2, and VDavis and Scheffler are available on the wire, so it will not be an easy decision. I'm guessing that some of the other Watson owners in here do not have such an attractive plethora of alternatives.
Courtney Anderson and Ben Troupe

Got Owen Daniels and Scheffler available. Leaning towards Owen Daniels, but not sure...

All I got (via ESPN player notes)

Watson (leg) wasn't present for the media-access portion of Wednesday's practice, the Boston Globe reports.

Spin: Watson seemed to be getting around fine earlier in the week, but his absence Wednesday certainly raises questions about his Week 15 availability. RotoWire | Wed, December 13

With Watson's (leg) status for Sunday uncertain, the Patriots worked out free agent tight ends Walter Rasby and Lamont Hall on Tuesday, the Boston Globe reports.

Spin: Tom Brady's top target would be in line for a nice day if he is able to play, but his status remains up in the air. Keep an eye on Watson this week and make sure he is starting before locking him into your lineup.

This is from NFL.com's injury report (Link). Is it really possible that Graham is questionable and Watson isn't on the report. I'm thinking they just got the wrong TE.

NE OUT SS Rodney Harrison (Shoulder)

QUESTIONABLE ILB Eric Alexander (Shoulder)

ILB Don Davis (Knee)

TE Daniel Graham (Ankle)

CB Ellis Hobbs (Wrist)

WR Chad Jackson (Groin)

RB Laurence Maroney (Back)

T Ryan O'Callaghan (Neck)

PROBABLE FS Rashad Baker (Thigh)

QB Tom Brady (Shoulder)

LB Corey Mays (Hamstring)

DE Richard Seymour (Elbow)

Getting info from Coach B is like pulling teeth. I imagine he will be listed as questionable.
At least there was one good post in here.I thnk it's a bit early to worry, but you should have a backup plan in place if you have the option.I don't - I am stuck with whatever Watson does from here on out - one of the inequities of a small roster.
Yes but backups may play on Thursday, and have to decide by then :)
:shuked: on the thumbdown. If you have the option, get a backup plan in place - make a decision tomorrow morning. Small and frozen rosters may have no options.

I am not sure when the cut off is, but I think by this evening the team is REQUIRED to list him on the injury report if he is injured.I suspect you are correct that they have the wrong TE.

missed at least a portion of the team's practice Wednesday, Dec. 13.
Good get - this means the team is required to list him on the injury report. My bet = questionable and a GTD, but I am obviously speculating.

The signing of O.J. Santiago makes me believe that the Watson injury may be pretty serious.

Not that we have a chance of finding anything out from Belichick.

Graham has been Q for a long time
So then despite everything we've heard, Watson might actually not even be on the injury report? Hard to believe.
He WAS questionable last week. I had a PM dialogue here with a few folks about him but nonetheless here-http://football4.myfantasyleague.com/2006/...2811&P=6529

It's going back since week 5.

Graham was out come gametime some of those weeks and played others.

I did not speculate on Ben and the injury report just that graham's been Q a long time.

Pats website has Ben listed as questionable

Something's "off"

It means precious little if the Pats list anyone as Q but, if you need a designation just roll with him as questionable.
