FOXBOROUGH -- For the second day in a row the Patriots had a new player parachuted into the middle of practice. Tuesday it was cornerback Dante Wesley and yesterday it was tight end Marcellus Rivers. The Patriots have been wracked by injuries at the tight end position, the latest of which befell Benjamin Watson, who appeared to hurt himself during Monday night's workout and hasn't practiced since. Veteran Kyle Brady has not returned to a pads practice since injuring himself on the second day of camp.

I hadn't noticed Marcellus Rivers there.

He must be a poor practice guy, he always did pretty well(not great but pretty well) when he played. I thought he'd have had a career in the NFL instead of bouncing team to team.

FWIW Dave Thomas is also out with his foot/ankle so throw another injured TE into the mix as well.

I guess H-back Garrett Mills better be careful
