They used Hunt quite a bit relative to the plays they had. 

KC dropped back for passes 36 times and ran 10.  Smith had his huge run on one but also had 14 incompletions and 2 sacks.  KC needs to run the ball more than that, especially since they obviously need to protect their D.  They can’t afford 16 negative plays out of the 36 dropbacks when their D can’t get off the field.  

Yeah, I know they had the ball 10 times.  Throw out their last drive when they had to catch up and the one right before half time.  3 were pretty quick passing/scoring drives and one had the Smith 70 yd run on a scramble, so it looks a bit odd, but they are still weighted way too heavily on the pass side IMO.  There’s just no committment there, nor has there been for the past few games.

Probably should be in it's own thread but I would love to revisit trades that were made for Kareem Hunt when he was on fire. He didn't get traded in any of my leagues but his trade value had climbed in there just below God after that hot start.

Run plays are just to pass the time in between pass plays.

I think there might be an interesting debrief opportunity here as well. The owner in my league rode him all the way to last place. He had other adversity this year besides Hunt but he definitely stuck by him through the initial thick (where he thought he was the answer) through multiple weeks of "thin".
