I'm counting on it - I traded for him about a month ago in my dynasty league. May only have a couple of seasons yet but he'll be my anchor this season.

If he is your "anchor," look for a long season. I think he finishes the year ranked in the 15-20 range for DE's. Sleeper maybe, but not a stud top 5. No way.

Well my DL's are weak - I do have Kevin Williams and expect him to bounce back. I have Rocky Bernard and Hargrove and C Griffin - we score equally on sacks as tackles 2 pts per and 1 assist and 1 per .05 sack. If he had not gotten hurt he was averaging 10 pts a game - so for 8 more games he would have ended up around 160 pts. which puts him in the top 10 in our league for DL & DE. So maybe not a top 5 - those aren't for sale for anything reasonable - I tried. I'll settle for Berry.I think Berry is ranked here on FBG somewhere around the top 10. In a 16 team Dynasty it is hard to have a top 5 at all positions.

berry didn't come from nowhere... last healthy season he led NFC in sacks & nearly led NFL, & he had decent amount of tackles for DE...

he isn't young but is late bloomer that may not have lot of wear & tear on legs... he was a reserve with colts then out of football for a year, than was a situational or rotation edge rusher in DEN... BTW, last year there he had about 11 sacks (didn't look up) in part time duty, so he is a special DE...

he was one of best free agent signings of 2004, & maybe ARIs best signing ever (before edge)... i think he plays at high level at least two more years... he has outstanding work ethic & keeps himself in shape...

one thing i like about him is cards could have lead more in 2006 & D could be playing downhill a lot (with a lead, where DEs can pin their ears as offense becomes one dimensional & is forced to pass)... think of leonard little in 2001-2003... berry also had like 7 combined FFs in last two healthy seasons, & as noted above, 2003 with DEN was part time role, so the dude is a playmaker...

* because of his age he would not be great guy to target as DE1 early & to build team around (obviously), but if you have established team & are looking for somebody who can help for a few years, & he isn't too expensive (i wouldn't think he would be?), he could be your guy...
