Who is the best back-up in the NFL? Not in terms of committee, but best true backup.
They like Betts better because he will be the starter this year and is a great value. For those listing Betts over Turner, is that because you like the situation that Betts is in or you feel that he is the better talent? I was really asking about the players skill vs their specific situation.
I assumed that to be the case, but when I posed the question my intention was best talent, not best value. Betts was a free agent this year and did not draw attention and ended up resigning with the Redskins. I expect Turner to gain tons of attention and not resign with the Chargers.Based on talent, is Betts the better back up or Turner? Let's put aside the fantasy aspect and focus on their ability vs opportunity. They like Betts better because he will be the starter this year and is a great value. For those listing Betts over Turner, is that because you like the situation that Betts is in or you feel that he is the better talent? best skill, Turnerbest opportunity to start, THIS SEASON?!BettsBetts is clearly in the best situation to start the season, and has the best opportunity to see significant playing time with Portis still sidelined..I get the feeling, Portis is not going to answer the call to start the season..and he might go on IR shortly thereafter..Turner looks good and all, but he won't get a shot to showcase his talents, unless/until LT gets hurt. There is also no guarantee the team doesn't franchise him NEXT season, keeping him in SD...For those listing Betts over Turner, is that because you like the situation that Betts is in or you feel that he is the better talent? concurThe Burner, unquestionably.
I think that goes without saying. I really like Adrian Peterson (Bears) this year.Anthing change now with the injury to Turner?

So a second string RB that gets a decent amount of carries because they are so talented can't be included in this conversation?Who is the best back-up in the NFL? Not in terms of committee, but best true backup.
If he is a clear #2 bring him on, if he is 1A, leave him for another thread.strong said:So a second string RB that gets a decent amount of carries because they are so talented can't be included in this conversation?Who is the best back-up in the NFL? Not in terms of committee, but best true backup.
