There have been other solid years, but these two lead the pack IMO.

We might one day be looking at the class of 2004 coming pretty close to these.

Went with the more recent players with Harrison, TO and Keyshawn leading the way.

If Sterling could have stayed healthy that might have been enough to get my vote.

T.O. and Harrison VS Brown and Irvin= Draw. The rest of the1996 draft is far better than the other...

1996 for depth  When the so-called bust picks include players with

523 / 7776 / 38

744 / 9756 / 60

482 / 7384 / 37

It's very hard to argue against that class.

1985 might get some consideration over 1988, Rice, Toon and Reed would at least arguably be better than Brown/Irvin/Miller. Add Vance Johnson, Eddie Brown, and Mr. special teams Steve Tasker, and that's a pretty solid year.

2001 has done well so far, producing 8 guys with 1,000-yard season:

Chad Johnson 4

Steve Smith 2

Santana Moss 2

Reggie Wayne 2

Chris Chambers 1

Koren Robinson 1

Rod Gardner 1

Drew Bennett 1

Others that year include T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Justin McCareins, Cedrick Wilson, Quincy Morgan, Freddie Mitchell, and Robert Ferguson (and David Terrell if he ever does anything).

That part doesn't count, rice would totally skew any stats......

I get emotional every time I see Patrick Jeffers name. That guy was one of my all time great free agent acquisitions. Man, did he light it up that season.

I think 1985 might still be ahead on total Pro-bowls, or 1996 may have just passed them recently. Actually you could argue that Rice "earned" his pro-bowls. It's Tasker that really skews the stat because of all the ST pro-bowls he went to.
