Seems to me that progressive rock has lots of 'great' song intros since that played into the style of the music. They could do it because they weren't trying to fit their songs into a 3:45 cookie cutter.

Again with the Prog Rock, I'd toss in "Money" with the jingle of coins, the cash register, tearing paper and the bass line.
