Best Stadium Hot Dog? (1 Viewer)

Raider Nation

Devil's Advocate
The Dodger Dog still has to be the king, but the new Yankee dogs deserve a mention.

In the old stadium, the dogs were cold, expensive, not very tasty and the buns were stale.

In the new stadium, the dogs are awesome and they are about a foot long. Two dogs in one.

I'm gonna pick up some Hebrew Nationals, Nathan's and Boars Head dogs for the grill this weekend.

LOTTA baseball.

The company that makes the Fenway Franks (Kayem) signed on with the Rays this year. Had one last night. Pretty damn good. Big improvement over what they had.

The sausages on the street are even better. Possibly the best sausages east of Switzerland.
Now THIS I'll agree with. Those sausages with the sauteed onions and red/green peppers are freakin ridiculous. The Fenway Franks are nothing to write home about. And the vendors only have mustard packets.

The two closest stadiums to me are Fenway Park and Yankee Stadium. I go to the Fens maybe 2-3 times a year, and Yankee Stadium maybe 5-7 times a year. The prices for food, as you might imagine, are insane.

I would SOOOO take advantage of those "50 cent hot dog" nights you see in Minnesota, K.C. and Pittsburgh.

I thought the fenway franks were overrated, don't really see the hype.

The best thing going at a ballpark is the $15.00 Lobels Steak Sandwich at Yankee Stadium. Outrageous and absurd pricing until you eat the mother, and then you'll never look back, amazing stuff!

I also dug the Manny Sanguillen BBQ in Pittsburgh.

Apparently y'all haven't had a spicy hot dog at Camden Yards. Those are awesome.
No, but I did try Boog's BBQ past the outfield wall. Good stuff. Incidentally, watching a game at Camden Yards was easily the most uncomfortable "fan experience" of my life. It was early September, and it was so muggy and humid you could not believe it. My t-shirt was completely drenched in sweat by the 2nd inning. :)

Not technically a hot dog, but the bratwurst in Milwaukee with the red sauce, mustard and kraut are good eating.

The Dodger Dog is the most over-rated piece of ballpark fare there is.

And I'll jump in on the sausages outside of Fenway....those are fantastic.

I remember doing prep work for the Fenway trip and I picked up Shaughnessy's book At Fenway.

I read the book and 2 of the things he mentioned was to get a sausage from the vendors outside and to go to Twins Ent across the street.

Following suit, I finish up my sausage and head into Twins. I start looking around and buy a couple of things. Once I get ready to walk out, I look and see Shaughnessy doing a book signing.

Talked to him for a minute about how the book had led me here (probably would have walked in anyway) and that was an odd coincidence that he just happened to be there that day.
