The Steelers, although I don't think they have any chance of making or winning the Super Bowl if the playoffs standings end in the AFC the way they are right now will most likely go on the road and get a victory over the Texans. The Texans in my opinion are in worse shape then them. After that, the Steelers will have no chance at moving forward. As of right now though they do have a pretty good chance of winning a playoff game.

They’re not even beating Houston. They are a wreck in every facet of the game and now have locker room issues on top of that.

Not exactly a murderer's row of opponents there

Kinda funny the Broncos are on both sides of that list - two weeks apart.
Also three losses from the AFC South and four from the NFC South. Dallas being on the list makes me smile.

I can’t make a case for the Texans.

Steelers may be frauds but KC was impressive in that win, one of their most complete games all year. I still wouldn't put them at #1 but it's a little harder to argue those who would.
The NFL in general seems top heavy this year. I can't remember a year with this many legit contenders. I still think the injuries will/have derailed Detroit, but without them they may have been the one team clearly out ahead. Still contenders though.

Voted Ravens. They’re clicking on all cylinders. Not convinced of the Lions because of their knothead coach, who will be the cause of them losing a game. Philly right up there too.

Matt LaFleur started out 6-0 and 5-1 versus the NFC North his first two seasons (2019-2020).
  • 2021 4-2 (1-1 vs Meathead)
  • 2022 3-3 (0-2 vs Knuckledragger)
  • 2023 4-2 (1-1 vs Big Dummy)
  • 2024 1-3 (0-2 vs The Moron)
12-10 - ouch.

2-6 vs the Imbecile - dang, bro. Dude has a .722 winning percentage against coaches not named Dan Campbell.

Dan Campbell vs the North:
  • 2-4 (won their last 2)
  • 5-1 (won their last 5)
  • 4-2
  • 5-0
16-7 versus the NFC North, including 16 of the last 19, and 14 of the last 16.

That's pretty annoying, isn't it?
Well, I didn't realize we were comparing HC's. But fine I concede whatever point you're making, which has absolutely nothing to do with what I posted. :ponder:

Anyway, my point stands, he's a knothead-meathead coach who WILL cost his team a game like he did last year. Lion's fans will be like, oh that's fine he's a great guy. Great guys don't get you Super Bowls.

If the Lions don’t make the Super Bowl it’ll be injury or Philly-related. The only team that was really able to hang with their offense before they were ravaged was Tampa Bay, who is/was a screamingly underrated offensive team. (Tampa’s secondary has also been depleted by injury in a pretty bad way, which is why they are 8-7.)

Ravens look like the best team, but some of their losses come to some really questionable sides. The Browns? The Raiders?

I will say this: There used to be a theory in baseball that the first two-thirds of the year were for assessment, then the last third was for adjustment. If this is the Ravens, then I have no problem saying they’re the best. But I want to see Lamar do it in crunch time when everyone is in contain and they make him a true pocket passer. I mean a true one. Like, in the AFCCG it’s a bit easier to stay in your lane and remain disciplined. During the regular season, not so much. Let’s see that before we anoint them the best.

KC and Buffalo are awesome and will deserve the 1 and 2 seeds, but those Ravens, man.

He needs to do it in the playoffs.

He needs to do it in the playoffs.

He won’t silence all the critics until he does. It’s that simple. Can you win a game purely from the pocket? I’ll bet he can, and I’ll bet he does eventually as he ages. But this year? Remains to be seen. I would not want to be betting against it given his passing numbers this year, but until he has at least one of those type of games in the playoffs, he’ll always have those questions nagging him.

Henry is supposed to take a lot of the pressure off of Lamar for this year.

Minnesota rarely receive many votes in these weekly polls. Presumably bias against Darnold? Great team on both sides of the ball. Can run the ball, great receiving options, and Flores is one of the best DCs in the league.

Amazing season for the Vikings - only losses came B2B in a 5 day stretch. KOC is a strong candidate to win CotY.
Not saying they WILL, but Minnesota could beat GB and then DET for the one seed and they will still get little respect. That's ok. I'm loving the underdog role. I'm in a bit of disbelief myself still and just enjoying the ride.

Just a really great job by the whole team. Well coached, Darnold has exceeded expectations, outstanding defense (Flores deserves another shot as a HC IMO) , even love their rookie K. Far better team than the 13 win squad from a couple years ago IMO.

You made a cogent analysis? I missed that.

You made a silly reductive statement - the head coach is a dunce who will cost his team a game. Kind of ignores what has been going on the last three years, but that's fine.

I do enjoy Detroit beating y'all like a drum every year, probably more than all the other division wins put together.

Just realized this morning it’s still possible to have two AFC South and two NFC South playoff teams. Unlikely, but still awful that there’s a chance.

But when he goes for two again from the 7 and they lose out a chance to go to the Super Bowl make sure you stand behind him for being ballsy.
There’s ballsy and there’s stupid. If someone burns their hand because they put it on a lit burner you’re not saying that guy has huge ball’s, you call him stupid.
