spinoff from the Oscars thread ... which Razzie winner was the best?

the award originated in 1980 - Here are all the winners, along with the other four nominated flicks per year.

i gotta go with "Mommie Dearest" (1981) - campy shtick done oh so gloriously. Faye Dunaway rulez

what say y'all?

Well . . . any Star Trek movie, even TFF, is better than a lot of movies for my money just because you get the enjoy the characters, the Enterprise, etc.  Also, I . . . really didn't dislike The Postman as much as many people.  Also, Breaking Dawn Part 2 was not great, but it was tolerable, and certainly not the worst movie of that year.

I saw both "Howard The Duck" and "Leonard Part 6" in theaters when I was in high school, so I feel qualified to rate them both from the perspective of a typical teen moviegoer.

"Howard The Duck" was a decent movie. "Leonard Part 6" was the worst movie that I've ever seen (and I saw "Ghost Dad" when it came out, too).

Yeah, Leonard Part 6 was one of the worst movies I've ever seen.  Right next to Nothing But Trouble.

Also, "The Adventures Of Ford Fairlane" was a GREAT movie!! Lots of quotable lines in that one.

"Bootytime, bootytime, across the U-S-A!"

I went to see that movie solely for the promise of seeing lots of Demi Moore's cleavage. I got screwed.

I, uh.....didn't really watch Bolero dozens of times; rather I, uh.....used it.  Couldn't tell you the plot really, but can tell you some points along the run-time worthy of pushing pause on the VCR remote. :oldunsure:

I'm partial to Hudson Hawk. Bruce Willis plays his typical persona and Andy McDowell as a hot nun. He sings show tunes to time his burglary and can't seem to get a cappuccino.

i, uhh ... wore out numerous copies of "The Perils Of Gwendolyn In The Land Of The Yik Yak" doing geography research ...

(but, srsly, Tawny Kitaen before the CRAZY hit  )

how that tour dè force missed the Golden Raspberry is  :excited:

That was such a weird movie.

Watching it, I was like, Were there four previous movies I missed?

It was like the producers expected us to already be loving these little things we are seeing for the first time.

"Oh, will Hudson EVER get to enjoy a cappuccino?"

How did movies like Bolero get away with showing full frontal nudity of 15 year old Olivia D'Abo back then?  Seems a bit risque, even for the cocaine days of the 80s.

  gajillion
the one scene in "POGITLOTYY" where the evil empress has our heroine in a chair ... then the top comes down, and EvilEmp props a riding crop under Tawny's yabbos to show how firm they are - gotdamn were they perky and lovely and jumbly

that ####### scene was prolly more responsible for the disgustingly perverted bend my life took than any other ... bless those sum#####es  :D

It's okay if the child nudity is "artistic". :oldunsure:

was just going on about "American Beauty" in the Oscars thread ... Janey (Thora Birch) was only 16 when they filmed the ### flash scene - but, because her parents were on set and OK'd it - all was cool.

btw, her parents are Jack Birch and Carol Connors, from the heydays of 70s Cali porn (real life "Boogie Nights" folk)

Stroker Ace and Year of the Dragon will always be welcome in my VCR.
I must have watched Stroker Ace 100 times as a young kid.  I developed a strong hatred for any dude named, Aubrey.  I've never actually met a dude named Aubrey, but if I did I'd surely punch him in the face.

Cocktail isn't even that bad.  I'm a little biased towards Elizabeth Shue, though.  Very underrated and still hot today.

How was Armageddon nominated in 1998 for a Razzie. !!!...Really ?...WTH.!

No movie with Steve Buscemi and Billy Bob Thornton should ever be on a Razzie list.

Also glad to see The Aventures of Buckaroo Banzai didn't make the list in 1984.??

One of my guilty pleasures, I gave up trying to explain this movie to people.
