Stripes is an adult comedy. Ferris is a pg13 comedy for teenage boys. It doesn't resonate with me anymore.

It's funny though that script for the adult movie is overly simplistic and completely ridiculous and the teen script is deep and very poignant. Not saying the simple, ridiculous one isnt great but it's funny that one is geared to adults and the other to young people.

I never understood the love for Ferris, which I think is possibly the weakest John Hughes film. It is nowhere close to as good as Sixteen Candles or Breakfast Club. A dull main character and not very interesting sidekicks.

Stripes was an above average comedy.
Oh, come on!
That might be the strongest endorsement of Curly Sue I've ever seen.
Lol. I left the "possibly" in there as I figured I probably overlooked some other bad Hughes movie.

But Ferris is still weak.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, no matter how much it sucks.

Exactly. Ferris was great at that age, but no way am I watching it again.
I think it transcends the genre like most John Hughes films do. I watched 16 Candles last month and laughed my ### off. Long Duc Dong does not have a single non-great second while on screen.
"screeeeeccchhhhh ...lake."

You're right. Ferris basically sucks.

This is where Jayrod goes berserk.

You could join a monastery.

Did you ever see a monk get wildly ####ed by some teenage girls?

Never.

So much for the monastery.
