Big Play League Rankings/Articles? (1 Viewer)

Two of my 3 IDP leagues are big play leagues. I'm a loyal subscriber and I love the IDP content and I think the new spotlights and faceoffs for IDP are a nice expansion on the IDP content. That said, I can't really apply any of it to my big play leagues. I know that big play leagues are sort of the ugly stepsister of IDP leagues, but I enjoy them very much. Any thoughts to putting together more big play league type content and/or come up with big play league rankings? Right now I just use DD and or PD and enter my scoring system and see the rankings for myself. But I'd love to see an article or two planned for big play leagues. Any plans for this or just not enough demand? TIA.

I don't think big play leagues are the ugly stepsister. There really is no "standard" IDP system, which is the beauty of the MyFBG function and the mulitple sets of projections we do that allow you to customize our rankings and projections (as you know). I don't think there's any plan for big play specific rankings or content -- I think starting a new thread for big play specific talents might be worthwhile. Some of the other staffers may chime in with interest as well, but I'll put it on the list of things to consider as a separate article for next offseason and try to put some extended thoughts together for a thread this week.

Thanks Jene. I understand that most here are not in big play leagues and therefore content isn't focused bpl's as much. It would be great to see some stuff next year though. Loved you "From the Gut" article by the way.

Great article. I have similar hopes for Woodley, but it seems like Timmons is the 2nd year Steeler LB making all the waves. Could make Woodley even more under the radar. Also, I really liked Tapp to breakout until they drafted Lawrence Jackson. Gotta figure that he eats into Tapp's PT, no?

He could. I liked him about as much as Merling, but didn't like the situation either landed in after the draft. Something to watch, but Tapp is the most under the radar of any of the Long-Little-etc DL3 group with the exception of Antwan Odom who has fallen off the map entirely after his injury and Dewayne White, who's being ignored as well.
