Biggest bust of the 2022 NFL draft (1 Viewer)

Kayvon Thibodeaux-Edge is one of the first ones I have questions about. I don't feel like he is a sure fire hit that high in the same way Bosa and Young entered their rookie years. Lots of other impact Edge guys in the 1st-2nd Rd.

Jordan Davis-DLine seems very risky based on the way he rose up draft boards after the NFL combine. Lot of upside and untapped potential but it seems risky when there are other solid options later in the 1st and throughout the 2nd round with Travis Jones and Logan Hall and I think Farrell from LSU is a nice sleeper after the big names come off the board.

Derek Stingley- I have a hard time spending a top 15 pick on a guy who you have to say, “look at his tape from 3 years ago” to sell him.

QB: Kenny Pickett-Pittsburgh, I don't think he'll be a bust per se, but I don't see a 1st round talent at all. He looks a lot like a Jimmy Garoppolo type to me. He's probably going to be a decent QB, but always leave you wanting more.

RB: Isaiah Spiller-Texas A&M, I don't get the round 2 hype on him at all. I think he's a day 3 talent, and probably a middle of the pack one at that. He's slow, and an overrated power runner. Unless he lands in an absolutely perfect situation, I doubt he'll be a very relevant pro. Some Alex Collins to him.

WR: Christian Watson-North Dakota St, great combine, and highlight reel. However, he wins entirely based on athleticism, which to date, has been mostly against guys who won't sniff the CFL. He also has iffy hands. I don't hate him, there is some upside here, but he feels like a 3rd round caliber guy to me, not a guy getting late 1st hype. I'm concerned he might be another MVS.

WR: David Bell-Purdue, he might not be going as high after pretty much bombing all his tests, but I didn't even like his tape, before all that testing happened. He always looked slow, and limited. He's still talked about as a 3rd round pick though, and I'm just not seeing it. He's a day 3 guy, and likely a #4 NFL WR.

WR: John Metchie-Alabama, I think he was a 3rd rounder without the ACL tear. He's the definition of ok. Average size, average speed, average prospect. I'm betting on him being a decent #3 WR in the NFL, but with all the high-upside WRs in this draft, I'm not sure that is worth much.

TE: Jalen Wydermyer-Texas A&M, just never impresses me. He looks like an ok #2 TE, but he's not a good enough athlete to be more than that. Day 3 guy.

T: Tyler Smith-Tulsa, he's flying up draft boards, and I can't really understand why. He's a raw, small school run blocking tackle. He needs a ton of work on pass blocking, and honestly might be a better fit as a Guard. I like him just fine as a 3rd rounder, but he's getting a lot of 1st round hype.

T: Daniel Faalele-Minnesota, he's a good athlete for his size, and when your size is 6-9 380, that may not even matter, but he's super raw, and basically nobody has ever panned out at that size. I just worry he's too big. He may need to go to a run heavy scheme, and could possibly make his living as a 6th OL until he gets up to speed, if he does. He's not a guy I'd want my team to draft until round 3.

EDGE: Amare Barno-Virginia Tech, his monster combine (4.3 40, 37 vert) has gotten him on the day 2 radar, but he's shown next to nothing on the field. He's a mid day 3 guy in my opinion, who is undersized (6-6 245) and simply gets blocked too easily. I could see him being a valuable special teams guy though.

LB: Christian Harris-Alabama, his 4.4 and Bama pedigree I think makes people think he's better than he is. I see a coverage liability and a guy who misses a lot of tackles. To his credit, he does have excellent range, so if he can be coached up, he could still be a solid NFL starter, but he's a project in my eyes.

CB: Tariq Woolen-UTSA, I'm always wary of these guys who were on nobody's radar, until they tore up the combine. Woolen looks like a CB you'd build in a lab (6-4 205, 4.26 40, 42 vert) on tape, he looks like a guy who has no idea how to play CB, and seems to dislike contact. He's worth a look with those measurables on day 3, but he's getting a lot of late 2nd/early 3rd talk, and that seems really high for a guy who is likely a redshirt rookie, and may never be ready.

I think almost all these QBs fall into that. Someone said that any of the top 5 from last year would be the first picked this year and they may very well be right.
I half agree. I think all 5 of last year's prospects would go #1 in this draft, but I think Malik Willis goes round 1 in any draft. His ceiling is just too appealing, even if I personally don't think he's the best guy in this draft (I'm a Howell guy) I can't imagine 32 teams deciding that he isn't worth a first if he came out in 2021.

Malik Willis.  I have watched him play enough at Liberty.  He would be a mid-tier QB if he was playing D1 opponents.  Most of his runs he's breaking arm tackles of weak DE and LB.  He won't break those in the pros, and his pocket passing is mediocre at best.
