Hey the Lions ended up getting a 6th round pick from Miami for Joey Harrington right? So Losman would probably command a similar pick. Maybe even a 5th rounder. I doubt any team gives up a 1-4 round pick for Losman.
During his 4 years in Detroit, Harrington completed 54% of his passes while averaging 5.7 yards per attempt. He had 60 TDs and 62 INTs in 58 games.During his 4 years in Buffalo, Losman has completed 59% of his passes while averaging 6.7 yards per attempt. He has 31 TDs and 29 INTs in 37 games.Harrington had basically been a starter for 4 full seasons and his career high for QB rating was 77.5. Miami only brought him in as an insurance option behind Culpepper...he wasn't expected to be the starter there and everybody knew the Lions were eventually going to release him if they weren't able to trade him. His contract was much different than Losman's since he was drafted so high so they couldn't really afford to keep him as a backup.Losman, however, has really only been a starter for 2 full seasons at this point and his QB rating last year was 84.9. He has 1 year left on his contract and it's pretty likely that whatever team trades for him will be giving him a legit chance to start and will also be expected to sign him to a contract extension. He's not getting moved for a 5th round pick or lower. It makes no sense. He's worth more to the Bills as an inexpensive but experienced backup than a 2nd day draft pick, IMO.
