I wanted to create a thread where we can display and or discuss where we see politicians from the opposite side of the aisle working on bills and policy together. While at times it may very well be more moderate members from each party working together often times it is not. Examples would be Sen Blackburn (R) and Sen Blumenthal (D) working together on a probe into Facebook as well as their bill called Reese’s Law. Another example of course would be Rep Benny Thompson ( D) and Rep Liz Cheney on the 1/6 select committee where it is likely they agree on no other issues regarding policy. Today Sen Manchin (D) and Sen Murkowski (R) appeared together where they are working on something regarding voting rights and Manchin actually endorsed Murkowski for her run for Senate in Alaska in 2020.
Politicians who resort to childish name calling do not belong in this thread and they are present on both sides of the aisle. While I admit I have likely engaged in this myself for some of the nastiest politicians I am hoping those instances where politicians have engaged in that doesn’t become the focus of discussion here.
